Two year old X 5 petrols are £10k behind book at the mo, If you think your STI has poor residuals wait til you come to PX that.

I have recently purchased a 2nd hand X5. If you are buying new you will loose 10-12k in the first year and if its petrol even more. Have a look at 54 and 05 reg X5 and they loose a massive amount in the first 6 months. The depreciation after year 1 is 4-5k per year.

Yep, the 2nd hand car market is dead at the moment, things aren't going to get any better with Christmas a few months away and once that has passed the MY06 will be in the showrooms knocking the price down even further.
