PSL,
Your hidebound and blinkered attiude towards politics, and your inability to see the wood for the trees ensures that the average open minded person will never believe a word of what you keep drivelling on about!

PSL,
You can chuck all the so called experts at it and they will all argue with one another about the definitive answer to it all. Attempted name dropping by you does not impress me at all!
I think the real point is that Dr Simon Srezter may have stated some points which you agree with since they appear to back up what you keep whittling on about.
What however do you make of the statement by him that Reality has just brought to light in his recent post?

PSL's link is to a report from 1997 - before NL came to power. So what has happened in the meantime? Has Tony delivered on his "Education, Education, Education" promise? Have NL spent the extra taxes that they are taking from us (and which PSL says are for funding schools) on employing an additional 50,000 teachers?
What do you think? There are now an additional 32,000 teachers - however around 28,000 of them do not have teaching qualifications. Source - Page 9. Further source.
How long does it take to train a teacher? Three or four years to do a degree and a further year for a teaching qualification. How long has Tony been at No. 10? Education, Education, Education - my ****.
And what is the result of all this ever expanding education system where standards increase all the time and staff find it a utopia? Comedy gold from semi-literate vermin and job satisfaction.
