at times like these you need a limerick ...

there was an old bloke called le-wis
and on blair's **** he planted a kiss
from Number 10 he ran
this amusing little man
and was locked up for taking the p!ss

on scoobynet he's known as pete
large hands, no **** and small feet
we know he's a t1t
with his posts full of ****
but for sheer laughs he just cannot be beat

with new labour he is so dewy-eyed
you could say that his brains were deep fried
whether prescott, darling or mandy
he just can't help but get randy
and makes everyone want to run out and hide

Quality.... but you have too much free time on your hands!!

You can't blame Pete for not wanting the conservatives back. I seem to remember Ken Clarke making some very unpopular decisions about concessions for elderly folks' heating bills when the Tories were last in power.

Can't believe it! They said on BBC News that "he united the country, but couldn't unite the party". The MPs must be a bunch of **** -- who do they think votes the government in? It's all very well getting the candidate you want, but it's not much fun in opposition.

They've been pressing the self-destruct button for 8 years now. When will it end?

Obviously not if you look at the above

ScoobyNet is just full of kiddies who cannot remember the Tories in power
You mean kiddies who are brainwashed into believing all of New Labour's political soundbites.

Indeed. Ken Clarke = Michael Heseltine. Both desperate to become leader, and despite a few attempts never achieved it.

Given that just about every American political commentator is touting Hilary Clinton v Condoleeza Rice for the next presidential election I reckon you'd be hard pressed to get odds on there not being a woman President.

Yet again the Tory back benches show how out of touch they are with the party membership now that David Davis has come out top in the first round, particularly as there is a groundswell of support for Cameron at grass roots level. I've changed my mind about Cameron and sincerely hope he gets the nod on this one, otherwise the electorate will be treated to yet another five years of ineffective opposition.

that leaves two davids and a wily old fox
imagine them naked, clad only in socks!
it doesn't bear thought
a sick-bag i've brought
but i suspect, opportunity knocks!

To all those who vote New Labour…

Seen the Matrix where Neo has to make a choice of either taking the blue or the red pill?

That’s what you lot remind me of. You keep taking your New Labour medicine. Keep listening to the propaganda and government brain washing. Keep believing that wonderful things are happening all around you thanks to the magnificent leader Blair. Ignore that splinter of doubt that is becoming increasingly painful in your minds.

The rest of us have chosen to wake up and smell the awfully strong coffee that is the reality of three terms of New Labour government. We know about the massive damage that has been done to this once proud country, its society and democracy in general.

Who knows how the story is going to end, but I do hope the Conservatives can find the One.

Like Ben I also remember when the IMF refused to lend Labour any more money and Callaghan was heard to say on his return from an overseas visit "Crisis, what crisis?"

Sorry - I take it all back, they have delivered. To be fair, they never did say if it would be on time or on budget!

One of their spectacular deliveries is the additional 5000 pages to the UK tax code.

Scotland probably has LESS labour voters than it ever did. So by all means blame the Welsh and the Chavs, but leave us out of it, ta

There is little democracy as such left in this country any more. Thie sorry lot just do what they like with no notice of public opinion and they will avoid discussing anything in Parliament if they can get away with it.

They even dont bother to tell the Queen what is going on and she has to get the information from other sources.

Its a good thing she can still dissolve Parliament, maybe she will be forced to eventually.
