So how about this one?
1/9 = 0.111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
2/9 = 0.222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222
3/9 = 0.333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
etc
BUT 9/9 = 1
1/9 = 0.111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
2/9 = 0.222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222
3/9 = 0.333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
etc
BUT 9/9 = 1

Because 9 is a magic number Add all the digits of a 'real' multiple of 9 and they'll add up to a multiple of 9.
What's the answer to 0/0?
I was always told that 0 divided by anything is 0.
But also anything divided by 0 is undefined.
But if you cancel 0s you get 1

This thread reminds me of a control theory lecture at uni where we were told an answer tended to 1 because you cancel out infinity in numerator and denominator.
A silence descended and after a short while the lecturer conceded it was "not mathematically rigorous".

Because Dennis the Greek who instituted the modern Western Calendar was a numpty. He should have started it in year zero and has caused untold wrangling over the centuries because everyone knows centuries should turn at "00"
