What a quality thread, been having a bit of a revival myself over the past year!!
Always have Remaniss on in the office in the evenings, great station! Bought Final Scratch by Stanton (Sold all my vinyl about 9 years ago just before it started rocketing in value to fund bumming round the world for a while :-() late last year and am hugely impressed with it and with how long my 1200's have survived intact!!
Managed to collect around 10,000 oldskool tracks on MP'3 but still missing many of my irreplacables!
A couple I came across tonight that still do it for me:
Genaside II - Narra Mind
Doc Scott - N.H.S. (Disco Mix)
Bones Breaks - Funky Acid Makosa
Brothers Grimm - Cassanova
Everything but the Girl - Blame (Fabio Mix) & Missing (Todd Terry Mix)
Goldie - Inner City Life
Photek - Ni-ichu-Ryu-Ken
Dragonfly - Visions of Rage
Rhythmn is Rhythmn - Strings of Life (1987 17 minute version) My God this tune still makes me want to weep, a truly beautiful piece of music.
Off to listen to some more (my memory is not what it used to be!!).
A good link for some real oldschool mixes is:

Thank you all for a thread that has really made me smile!!

RE: REMANISS RADIO
Any Remanis Radio experts tell me why last weekend it was playing at 170.0k odd on the Broadband setting - which sounded excellent, but now when I connect using the Broadband option I only get poxy 20.5k playback that sounds awful?!?
I'm desparate to get the full bandwidth back again. Does anybody know what I need to do?
Cheers

Edited to say: It's a stonking station BTW. It really delivers the classic old skool harcore tip. I'm hearing loads of tunes I never thought I'd hear again, plus a few more besides.. and the DJs deliver it in style..

I was an original Class of '88 field and warehouse raver, then got back into it all in '90-'91 with the Belgian and Dutch stuff which IMO gave birth to the early UK Hardcore of '91/'92 that I would call Classic Hardcore and its golden years. When it lost it baseline (with introduction of 'Happy' hardcore 95-96 ish and its pianos and cheesy chipmunk Vocals) I whent back in search of the baseline and breakbeat and found Drum N Bass .
We are planning an event for the new year (after the sucess of out first one)
Two Arenas - Classic hardcore and one for later hardcore/ drum n bass
Line up will be something like ... Slipmatt, Slam, Ellis Dee, Vibes, Dougal, Nicky Black market, etc....
Venue will be at a Classic london haunt from the old days
is what what you know, but who you know

Here's the flyer for an event I staged way back in the day. The first appearance of Energy outside of London and the place was totally rammed out, with hundreds being turned away!!:

I reckon the 'golden era' of rave was when the Traveller's became united with the Ravers to put on free parties mainly in the West Country such as Castle Morton etc. They were really great fun till the Police clamped down on it all with the Criminal Justice Bill.

I used to go to the Tribal gathering/universe events amongst others in and around wiltshire, oh the memories of the A303 & the travellers as you mentioned come flooding back
And we must not forget Spiral Tribe ... the ring leaders for many a happy day/ night in a field
