Yes he is! He was a beast!

IIRC he had a heart attack due to his hormone problems (part of the reason he was so huge).

Thankfully people have started mentioning the legend that is Mick Foley.
I'd have had to have gotten Socko out otherwise

The Borg Twins - all the way from Malta, identical twins Iggy & Tony, who wore numbers on their vests, so we could tell them apart.
'Crybaby' Jim Breaks - the nickname reflected his tendency to throw a tantrum.
Catweazle - yep, he nicked his image from the
TV series.
Alan Kilby - a clean fighter but, in the ultimate gimmick, he was deaf.
'King Kong' Kirk - 'known all over Europe as the One-Man Riot Squad,' according to Kent Walton.
Kung Fu - yep, he nicked his image from the
TV series.
Johnny Kwango - the king of the head-butt.
Masambula - the African witchdoctor.
'Ironfist' Clive Myers - later a champion arm-wrestler.
Kendo Nagasaki - the best of all the masked fighters, his specialist move was the Kamikaze Roll.
Adrian Street - the glam rock wrestler, a man so ugly and so incompetent at applying make-up that he made The Sweet look like Marc Bolan.
Billy Two-Rivers - a Native American whose speciality, unsurprisingly, was the Tomahawk Chop

Chainz

Most of the dead guys are found in dingy motel rooms on the road between wresting events, usually due to heart failure after years of steroid/recreational drug abuse.

Davey Boy Smith - "heart attack"
Mr Perfect Curt Hennig - "heart attack"
Ravishing Rick Rude - "heart attack"
Texas Tornado Kerry Von Erich - suicide
"Flying" Brian Pillman - "heart attack"
Miss Elizabeth - found dead at Sid Justice's house
Road Warrior/ Legion of Doomer Hawk - "heart attack"
Crash Holly - "heart attack"

Interestingly, 4 of the famous Von Erich brothers have committed suicide. What a waste of talent.....

Accidents/natual causes -:

Owen Hart - zipline accident at live event
Andre - unerring growth finally killed him
Yokozuna - heart attack
Gorilla Monsoon - natural causes

There are many more but these are the main ones from the time I was into
WWF.

How hard must it be to get life insurance as a 40 year old professional wrestler?

It is sad when you think watching the show's then and how tragic how it all ends. i used to collect the original figures, and when i compare them to the versions now that my nephew plays with, it's just wrong.

i loved it but not as much as my father, when hulk hogan was 'injured' ie in rehab he actually sent him a get well soon card and got a thank you letter back.

I'm old!

Never really watched the American stuff.

What I will never forget was the Saturday 4pm slot, the whole family would be there especially for the real great fights (Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks for example) or anything with the only guy to beat them - Kendo Nagasaki.

Nagasaki vs Haystacks was incredible - no (or very little) show acting there as Haystack was bleeding from where Nagasaki was pummelling him. Shocking stuff for us youngsters. I believe that Nagasaki was the ONLY guy to ever beat Big Daddy, certainly on a Saturday pm.

I actually saw Big Daddy vs Giant Haystack live in a fight circa 1992. Another truly memorable experience as the whole crowd went wild, banging our thighs with our hands and shouting as one - "EASY, EASY...!"

Good, clean, family fun!

Sorry about not talking about the WWF etc.
