I was looking to buy one me-self but an S2000 simply just does not have the mid-range wallop of a turbo car, hence thats why i'm getting an S3.
If it had more midrange it would be no contest because i love the looks!

You should try an extended drive in one - you'd be amazed how quickly you get into the habit of dropping a few cogs. I miss that feeling of force from time to time though.

If it was me I would consider a 993. My personal opinion is that they sound a whole lot better, look better and they have done even more of their depreciation but still stay at the same price or even a bit more in some places as a 996
www.911virgin.com - this place has cropped up on here a few times, I obviously have never had a reason to use them! but I think they came recommended
don't overlook a late 964 either, will have done almost all its depreciation and old enough so people will not think you are trying to pass it off as a new one!
Good luck
Andy

[QUOTE=Deep Singh][QUOTE=Saxo Boy]Gayboys are afriad of 9000rpm - the S2000 is for real men
Gayboys are afriad of 9000rpm , its a pity it cant go up hills.
Anything with torque will absolutly destroy the thing.
In a certain environment yep they are fun, but in the real world in real environments they show their weaknesses.

Have you owned one M5?? Because I have no problem at all with hills. I suggest you do some reading up on what torque and what bhp are because what little torque I have works absolutely wonders for me in any situation after its been distributed at high rpm and through a series of gears.
One thing I should say - but I can't vouch for other drivers - is that irrespective of what car I'm driving if I decided I'm going to max it I never think, 'this gear is torquey enough - it'll do' I always seek maximum acceleration. I accept that some people are too lazy but for me adjusting my driving to get the best from any car isn't a problem.
And don't even think of waving the M5 *****, you have over 50% more power, over 100% more capacity and double the cyclinders - in short, its not fair
911 - keeping it on topic

This, but only with a very good warranty
And this with mods
But Wilf wants a 911 so its probably best we drop this line of discussion.
This doesn't look shabby at all if you can get some movement on his price and stretch a little - I'd have that!

Hey the 911 is definatly worth having 993's do look better but the interior is not as modern and servicing is more expensive but deprication is gonna be low indeed if u get a good one.
The only thing is if i was gonna have one i would always want a turbo, but then that just brings the overheads up to another level.
