Right. Trackday.

My stripped Pug GTi-6 Vs POST CLASSIC WRX scoobs.

Speaking from experience, I'll win.

I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is. Name a date, I'll be there - we can go pub aterwards, I'll talk about football, politics, birds, the usual beer associated crap while the WRX owners stand in the car park, bonnet up, scratching their heads muttering:

"I didn't leave my aircon on did I??"

"Was my handbrake sticking??"

"It was a hot day, the turbo definately suffered".

"Damn knock link!!"

"My window was slightly open, the drag co-efficent caused a wind turbulent of 0.4648 causing a power drain of 160bhp".

.......and so on.

WHERE, WHEN....???

i've seen a 306 rallye which is basically a lightly stripped gti-6 on track as it was easily as fast as a 172cup, which certainly can do the whole track attack very well, so if your 306 is stripped more than that i reckon it certainly would be nippy, out of interest, std everything else, suspension etc?

Coilovers, totally stripped. Basically that's it. De-cat and induction but doesn't doo "that" much. It's equally as quick as a 172 Cup, was proved recently with myself in my Pug and Dayboy in his 172 Cup.

Lighter, same power to weight. I'll stick a tenner on me lapping quicker than a post classic WRX.

No problems.

Serious question shocker:

What if the bug eye had the same mods?

so would I.

looking at the evo article on the 182 trophy vs the m6 , brings into serious question why you want such power if a 15k hatch will live with it in the twistys

Then the bug eye would probably win because of better power to weight!

Bug eye's are just too heavy
