Mick gutted for you i know you haven't long finished 'tarting' it up.

As Stainy said you unfortunatly were not advised well by the officers, had it been explained clearer you'd probably have released the car to them.

And Alcazar not all coppers are w*nkers, yeah there are some on the force but don't tarnish all with the same brush. It tends to be the kids picked on at school who have i point to prove.
I had just got the scoob and was enjoying the joys it brinks when i got a bit happy late one evening and before i realised it i was doing 80ish in a 30 , unknown to me two coppers were doing a house call along the road, well lets just say they heard me before they saw me [Damn Blitz Nur Spec] got ordered to stop, copper came over and before he could say anything i put my hands up and admited i'd been a ****. He laughed and calmly told me to stay where i was, he did the checks and gave me a little chat, i was let go with a "your old enough to know better" and "slow down or get a quiter exhaust". Counted my blessings that night!!!!!

Well said,

me and my brother MickWrx was in my first wrx at a roundabout in west yorkshire when i launched it round two ring roads under a motorway flat out 1st, 2nd and 3rd just comming off the second ring road and i saw the blue lights in my rear veiw. I knew it was for me and i stoped before he got there, the police officer said "look lad's you have a really nice car here and shouldn't be driving it like that on roads like these, take it somewhere less busy ok now on your way" what a guy

Default so gutted

Words escape me for what i've read and seen. The mrs and i are gutted. I'll copy the post onto the other clubs i'm in for exposure too.

The police are there for a reason, no mattor how much we slate them i bet you your life they'd be the 1st you'd call if your kids went missing (which i hope to god doesn't happen to anyone).

In this case they got it wrong, sounded like the sarg' couldn't be assed to leave his pot noodle for you which is out of order.

I'd definately be onto the complaints team and especially your local press and defo the sun newspaper.

It must be good to know that you have the support of everyone on here and i'd have thought every decent car owner in the land, i hope you and your daughter get through this as soon as possable.

Best wishes O.G.

Just seen a link to this on MRC, put there by DreXel I think (nice one). I just had to register Mick so's to wish you well mate. If I read correctly you had your daughter in the house and things could have been so much worse - not suggesting its not bad enough, just speaking as a dad so you'll understand where I'm coming from ;-).

Just 'cos I drive an RX8 doesn't make us all too much different, not like the scum bags who do this sort of sh*t. Just a shame that one guy on here has used his post to have a right go about nowt to do with your circumstances - there's always one anus right!!

Hope u get the scooby sorted mate, the barstewards certainly did some damage. Oh, I know u've a lot on your plate right now but don't 4get to change the house locks too.

Regards.

Very sorry to hear this Mick, all the hard work and effort you have put into the car recently let alone the cost to be treated in such a way by the people that are supposed to be there to protect us is beyond belief.

As it has been said I think you should definatly put a complaint in about the way you have been treated and I certainly don't believe that it is up to you to pay them and then have to claim it back off your insurance company... after all if the actual damage is limited you may be able to repair it without putting a claim in for anything other than the windscreen, that may help to keep your premium down.
Is there much damage to the bodywork it's hard to tell with the dew on the car ?

Simon.

Coppers, what a waste of time.

I took my dogs out at 7, and parked outside my house was a scamera van, at 7 in the morning!?!?!

Nicking people on the way to work for speeding is far easier than fighting real crime I suppose.

[QUOTE=MickWrx]Copied from WYIOC thread for exposure

At around 2030-2100 last night some thieving scum buckets entered my house, they stole various small items from my back room including my briefcase with all my project work for the last six months.

Did they actually break in or was the door/window left open??????

Christ just reading this thread has really made my blood boil, can't believe the responses some of you have had from the police in these sorts of situations!

Mick - sincerely hope you get everything sorted mate, absolutely gutted for you!

As stated on a different thread: last week the school my mate teaches at had a visit from a large gang of kids from another school.

The gang were attacking kids from my mate's school, and badly damaged a staff car.
The school phoned for the police, who arrived......................the next day

Add to that, the reports on local TV of police response, in full riot gear, to gangs of youths running amock on an estate here on Saturday night. The youths had clubs, sticks bottles and flaming torches.

Order was soon restored, apparently, and the youths were "reprimanded" for their behaviour. That'll learn 'em!

Humberside police, the worst waste of space force of all waster forces!

that is so f'ing bad m8. why do people do this sort of ****?!

the only way my car hasnt been stolen so far is becuase i block it in with 3 other cars down a narrow brick walled drive with roof over it. you can hardly see the car from the road and the cat1 is allways on. some other extra security devices have been added but i cant stop people getting into it. cars are easy to get into if you dont care about the car.

a big disc lock would help i spose plus maybe a second alarm system that could also set off a buzzer in the house.
lock your house doors. all ours are locked all the time. except the lounge door into the back garden as thats where we all sit and we have to let the dogs out.

oh yeh.. get a dog. they hear everything! 20times better hearing than a human and they bite people that come in uninvited

there are some very cheap and effective cctv systems for the home now. 950hours of recording on one tape and you could have a PIR with a search light to help light up the area that the cam covers. at least then you'd have pictures of the t*ats that did this to you or try again later.

i know none of my words will make you feel any better about any of the stuff that has happened. i hope you can get it all repaired soon and with some extra security, prevent it from happening again.
