cheers,

yes I was referring to the rugby .. ref cam/mike is in for internationals , and the premiership was the guiness one

Needs solid batting tomorrow, have we got the players to do that though ? Pieterson and Flintoff can bat , but can they occupy the crease to.... a quick 30 or 40 isn't what's required in this situation imo ...

I was on about the Rugby, not the Football?
But they let him continue in this test, the one he cheated in and tampered with the pitch and he is still allowed to bowl, defeats the object somewhat

Yeah, I know. But at least the conversation with Alfridi fired up Pieterson enough to get England through to another day.

Bell appears to be defying his critics ( including me ). Looks much happier against spin than high quality seam ...

I'd like to criticize Pieterson for getting out to a daft shot ... but I guess after he's got 100+ playing like that I can't moan too much...

Oh, I dunno. Who would have put money on 391-7 at the beginning of the day?

Play for a win or stick with a draw?

After the slagging I gave Bell (end) during the ashes I might have to reconsider. Still there plenty of dropped catches in the lad yet......

I'd like a draw .. but 30 overs of the Freddie + Kevin show could be interesting

Looked like a good result in the end. Too many wickets too quickly for my sphincter to cope with

At least Bell is back to form.......NOT

********** 3rd Test ***********

Giles looks crocked ( leave him out FFS! ) Vaughn back opening . Apparently jimmy's going to play.

Still think the smart money ( and mine ) is on a draw. Pak won't want to lose this and draw the series ...

Steve
The bookies think so too 10/11, I always like to wait and if we get an "interesting" session, the prices go all over the place , there will always be another session where either team settles down and knocks a few and the prices go back down, its just knowing when to go in, but if we win the toss I hope Vaughn relishes the opening spot and they rattle up some fast runs, then its anyones.

Up at 04.00 again tomorrow, not too happy with a Tuesday start im on lates Thurs/Fri no chance of getting up at 4.00.

Lets hope its another good one

183/4 ... very much pak's session after a good 1st session.

Why do they insist on sweeping ???

just ... sloppy...... they're playing like they just turned up for a knockabout .

The Pakistan bowlers do appear to be winding up the umpires though .. always a clever move....

We have unique pitch conditions with maybe only New Zealand getting close to what we play on. We are used to green wickets, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka just don't have green pitches ever. We play on hard dry pitches abroad and we can't handle the pace, bounce or spin because we don't get to play against it at home.
Which is precisely why they are on tour at the moment. This is still a young side gaining experience and whilst there may have been some post - Ashes euphoria they are still building. There are some similar pitch conditions in Oz and look how well they tour.

What did I say? Inzaman - run out! Gotta love the podgy little fella......

Slow going at the moment. We need to bring back Peter Such.... how long did he last padding away the ball? 4 hours?

Something which Pieterson can do. 75 overs for a draw - I reckon that's on.

3-1. Not good. Looks like the fans have deserted England now they're back to losing ways? Anyway, good effort by Rudolph at the WACA to deny Oz a win.
