Loved them! I had an Escort Series 1 RS, two of the Series 2's, and then the Fiests RS.
I kept the recaro's from one and had then put on a metal base and had them in the lounge in my batchelor pad many moons ago.

Hope she's not dead

Currently trying to convince the wife that letting me have a Mk2 RS2000 is good idea
I'd bloody Kill for one of those.

Had a rwd saph. 365bhp chip, 803s, rs500 cooler ahhhhhhh. Had the car 4 and a half years. Did all the national day shows, had a union jack sprayed onto my cam cover. Really miss the car. Scoob is more modern and feels better though.

I always said I'd never go jap, there might even be threads on here dating back from 1999 when I used to come over with the cossie lads to play up the scooby crew
Just bought my first scoob last week *grin* and am very happy to be over here on the dark side

Yea, I did the RS turbo thing too...
I had two series 2 escorts , one of them lightly fettled (and then used as donor car/spares when needed) the other heavily moddified , It's been sold a long time now but spec sheet went as follows to best of my poor memory... stage 3 hybrid turbo, pace double capacity intercooler, mahle pistons/rings lowered compression, 1900 bottom end, diesel escortvan gearbox (no LSD oohh eerr), reskimmed and ported gas flowed head, front mounted oil cooler, kent cam, front of car from "a" pillar down and under rose/seam welded all the other bits you'd expect to find.. full 3" turbo back system, 4 way plugs, magnecore leads, K&N cone, full samco kit, manual rad fan switch, baileys d/v, flamer kit and the other most dangerous mod...... bleed valve! On many occasions the collins gauge inside was reading up to 25psi on boost i'm sure
The car was crazy fast when boost eventually came in , and then straight line/ overtaking was unreal but in reality the car was a pig to drive. After two years two gearboxes, two head gaskets, one hybrid turbo and more other mechanical repairs than I care to remember I sold it on.
It is true for me what they said FORD = Fix Or Repair Daily
Those were the days eh....
