If you don't want to go to London, how about 46th Street in New York? There are plenty of curly-sideburned, black felt wearing citizens who would be *delighted* to assist you. ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Alternatively, DO go to Hatton Garden, and be pampered by a multitude of vendors, who for that sort of money should be able to sort you out with a nice 1.5ct stone, probably about D/E whiteness, possibly B/B+ clarity. Certificated and authenticated

you can buy something valued at about £5k for around £2-3k from a manufacturer and they'll make it to your specification. don't pay retail price.
try e & h harrington in colchester tel: 01206 543680. we used them and they were very helpful. recommdned to me by a work colleague
after finding these people (made our wedding rings too), i wouldn't buy anything like that from a retail jewellery outlet again!

Hi
You say you dont want to go to London?
I can suggest a very experienced firm in Hatton Garden (not some del boy Diamond Merchants either) have supplied diamonds and rings to some serious people, and only use the best. They are bespoke as well, and can design the ring just how you want it.
If your interested drop me a PM
Eric
