But the fact that at every football ground yesterday was a minutes silence for the guy makes me sick when young tragic Richard Burns only got a brief mention on the news. This guy so wanted to live and return to rallying and it was cruelly snatched away, yet the focus of the country was on a guy who plainly didn't give a **** about living or what the effect would be on his family.
RIP Richard, see ya George.

We arent comparing the tribute to them both; it would be unfair to. They both excelled in their own ways. Another thing to take into consideration is football is generally more popular then WRC. We are talking about people speaking ill of someone on the day he died. Fair enough he made a few mistakes, but he paid the ultimate penalty.
I don't find your final comment offensive, but it certainly looks disrespectful. Even if you didn't care for the guy surely you would want him to RIP? Did he do anything to you personally for you to want otherwise?
What people have to see is that everyone does stupid ****. Even you and I. Do you want people, who you have done no wrong toward and don't know you personally, to have a good ole bitch about the stupid things you done the day you die, or do you want them to think fair enough, time to let him rest and memories of the good times live on. I certainly do.
It seems like some people on here enjoy being angry/offended/any other negative emotion.

Markus you really can be a ***** sometimes...
Sure enough you govern the rules in TRL, but meanwhile, back in the real world...
Failing that, we could all wait til 12 hours after your dead to celebrate the huge amount of good you brought to this life...

If people don't like me, then I don't care if they wish to dance on my grave and bad mouth me on the day I die. It's their right. My family might object, but there won't be much I could do about it from 6ft under, and why bother, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
As for governing the rules on TRL, actually I don't, it's not my board, I might have admin rights, but that is mainly so I can deal with the tech side of things.

Wise decision Chip as it happens, the forecasters were not that far out but the snow arrived so quickly that it made the road instantly unusable which is unusual as well.
