The size of this thread in so short a time is just tribute to such a great driver and ambassador for England and rallying in general.
So young.
We must be sure to enjoy all the days we get.
Sad news,
Graham (911)

It's sad to see such a talented person lose his battle for life, compounded by the fact is was not through any fault of his own.
His life's great achievements will be remembered by many. My thoughts are with those who were close to him.

Richard Burns old STi6
Looking back at some old threads and thought it fitting to copy this one here. His old car was sold on here late last year, I wonder if the current owner is still here? Hopefully it's still just as stunning.
Full spec list can be found here: Richard Burns STi6 for sale thread
Just one more look at the car itself:

+ RIP Richard. And a thought for Markko Martin. There at the beginning of Richard's illness, and losing 'Beef' earlier in the year as well. Feeling for you.

I have only just read about this...
It saddens me so much that we have lost another great member of the motorsport industry.
I admired him so much and i just feel numb, I certainly know what he was going thru when he was having his treatement! and thought he was going to pull thru, but life can be such an evil bitch!
Why does it happen to the best ones,?
R.I.P Richie B,,, thoughts go to his Wife Zoe, and family.

I have only just heard this tragic news. Another sad loss to the world of the WRC, of someone who was clearly an extremely talented driver and a very genuine person as well.
My thoughts and condolences to his family at this time.

I am sincerely sorry to hear this news - my thoughts are with his family and friends.
It is a shame that current news has eclipsed this tragedy - a true gentleman and great sportsman's passing will struggle for "airtime" when his story is such an amazing tale.
Wherever you are, I salute you sir.
