OK, searched and found it's the Pressure Exchange Solenoid Valve, i have just cleaned out the unit and found that it ports manifold pressure to the MAP normally, then when energised it ports MAP to ambient air (through filter).

Anybody know what the purpose of this unit is? Cos i'm baffled.
