Pretty sad I know, but I have so impressed with a ST155 Diesel mondeo estate.
I timed mine at 7 secs 70 to 90, which is half a second slower than my PPP classic Wagon......
224 40 18" rubber that do not spoil the ride and handles very well for a bit of a bus.
2.2 Duratorq engine pulls like a train at 2k rpm 0 to 60 in 8 and a bit and close to 140.... and yet 50 to gallon on a run.
Just a thought. Cheap as chips for a year old one
Shame it is the blue oval though.

I saw a 2002 ST220 wagon with all the toys and looked very smart...not sure I could get past the Blue Oval. I know the Missis can't!

You can get a mint B5 platform A4 S4 for about 11-12k. Great car and so easily tuned above 300hp. Or how about an allroad with the same 2.7 ltr bi turbo engine. Although you might struggle to get one for 12.5k. If you are interested in S4's check out 'croft motors' website.
