richard burns memorial service

lol that would have been RB5203 who was carrying the cheque, i was in front of him.

a touching day and an honour to have been invited to the private memorial after.

I had a good chat with Robert Reid and Richard's dad who let everyone know that the donations were from teh rally community worldwide.

He said he was extremely touched and overwhelmed as he never realised that Richard had touched so many people.




Robert Reid also signed a few items of RB5OC mercandise that we will be auctioning off to raise more money for Cancer Research.


Most of the Peugeot rally team, mechanics & directors were there, Didier Auriol, Jason Plato, Dave Lapworth (didnt see Petter as WRC.com said tho) , had a laugh with Jeremy Clarkson , joyfully dissing Subaru Drivers as usual his mouth started drooling when we began talking about the Bugatti and he said rest assured the stig will drive one around the TG track when there is one available.

i also had the privelidge of attending todays service
i was pleased to see so many people from the world of motorsport
showing their support, and yes petter was there
i would like to praise Colin McMaster for his speech, very well put.
and some words that will stick with me are taken from the cover
of the order of service shown below

lets hope that car is a Subaru
Richard Burns, you are sorely missed
