Sqizz
My elder son, Jonathan, was talking to your friend (from Halfords) last night @ Tramps n'club, so hope he hasn't lost his memory thru too much liquid stuff - don't blame you for not getting them fitted there - I'm suprised Fizz went to get his scoob polished there after the last Worcs meet

PS
can't you do the directions to The Fox from Brum in Imperial measures

Forget the M5 and the A38 if you're going to Cheltenham, for whatever reason, work, powerstation etc. Go this way, lots more fun and fewer speed restrictions.
A44 to Pershore, then take the A4104 ( following the signs for Cheltenham ) turn off on the B4080, go through Eckington to Bredon, then take the B4079 through Kinsham, watch out for the hairpin, straight across the traffic lights at Pamington ( staying on the B4079 on a strtch called the 7 bends ) then you hit the A435 which takes you straight into Cheltenham.
I travel this way home from work and it seems to be quite a popular route for scoobs.

Car booked in to powerstation on 16th May.

See you all on the 27th, hope the weather is like today.

Jon

Jaz,
As the song says "Things can only get better" wrong the £500 was an approx for the spares
Clutch Cover £196
Clutch dics £86
bearing £71
Flywheel £213
total £566

least no Fitting charge
B*******DS plus VAT £666

ALL
On the way home stopped in the FOX INN on the way back from Listers, Stony broke, the place is quite big plenty of room if the weathers nice and IMHO food was better than the Crown. There was a purpose built Barby there but new temporary Landlord and barby won't be open on the 27th. Big play room for Kids even ginger ones

Tony.
STOP IT PLEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All this doom and gloom is gonna give me sleepless nights (and days) - I've got the biggy coming up (60K service) on 21st, and all this talk with ££££££££'s is giving me the *******
At this rate we'll be slitting our wrists (after you, m'lord)

If you have to resort to the A reg metro, don't forget to salvage the bonnet scoop to put on it

PS anyone else got some favourite B road trips they'd like to share, eg the one from Feckenham to Alcester,(B4090) on the switchback section-(your wheels can actually leave the tarmac )

Tony,

If damage, contamination caused by oil leak then it should be covered. If it is not why then are they not charging labour!!!!

Speak to IM about it... not condeming a certain dealership of course but IM sorted my problems out.. thay are useful for something..

£666 the number of the Garage Beast

MattyB

I had the pleasure of paying Listers £262 last week for a service and this did not include a cam belt change as it was done when I bought the car

So start saving.........

I didn't want to tempt fate by speaking about automobile glazing, but glad all is ok - is the town a no-go area for re-tarmacing, cos its a right mess in two roads into town, and as for the Homebase route, I preferred to rattle my fillings compared to now
PS
Had a cambelt change afore I bought the car, but this is a "bit" more methinks
anyway, Listers don't touch Jap imports, even if it says WRX

see you at the Fox- watcha got now on it?

Cool

fizz,
They took out the clutch to fix oil leak behind fly wheel and found grooves in it and not much fibre around the rivits
I had the choice of not fitting then at no extra charge just parts or do it in 500miles when gives up for good

Matt,
My service price for 30k was £485
My service price for 71/2k £121
Air con £995
Brake pads £183
Clutch £666
tyres £256
petrol £300
insurance 1/2 year £320
Track wheels £250
Track pads £112
total £3688

All in 4000 miles nearly £1 a mile
and thats my last moan because Ive enjoyed every last pound of it :

Perhaps high fuel consumption due to clutch slip

Rich,
I cant wait to here the xhorst

Will she? Won't she? Who knows, mate! She simply adored the car and really wanted it, but it was over her proposed budget AND she's getting concerned that we're not saving for the wedding. (No chance of that from me for another couple of years, I'm skint! ).

We'd also come at such a car, "cold". Research will be necessary on whatever she picks. (If anything). So I'd save the links for now...

Good to see you there. Thanks for the help, and there may yet be a sale out of it - You never know. May just have to book our cars in for power runs, too.

Did that luuuuuuurrrrrvly M3 sell ?

Karen may change her mind when she checks out all the great motors at the next meet. I think I may get her to drive her MAX POWER stylee Renault 19 16V over, too.

Email me offline, and I'll send you my mobile number. We can then organise a mid-week drink next week.

Cheers,
Squizz.

Squizz,

Actually no need to pump it, you just hold it and it squirts on it's own

Is Karen going for the little toy ? Only want to know before I send you a load of links for tuning parts for it

Don't want to talk about the homebase gridlock fiasco. Oh go on then....Finish work at 5 (at 4:50 notice a mondeo parked in front of my office) have a *** at 4:55 (mondeo ain't moved) decide not to go but chat in sales until 5:25 (mondeo still there) wander down to roundabout and plod arrives asking "where is the accident" Uh Urrr. They radioed control who tell them (and he held up his radio so we could here it) that is the way the council wanted to do it (I bet someone had there a**e kicked this morning) Any way well done to plod had traffic flowing within 30 mins.

Got on to duel track, foot down and meet woman in blue fiesta doing a U turn across centre resevation while on the phone, which leads me to 1st mod Turbo brakes (for stopping) 2nd mod PIAA's (for flashing)3rd mod backbox (just for sounding good)

see ya at the fox

Tony.....who quoted you the £666 for the clutch? It had better not be Listers cos they quoted me £757
Needless to say its being done elsewhere - AP Racing Single Plate Organic clutch £300 fitted including VAT
...and its having EBC cross drilled and vented disks and its having EBC Green Pads and its having braided brake lines and its having DOT5.1 fluid ...my baby loves me now
Even better news is that I might be moving back to Worcester ....heres to a long hot summer

Rich,
Yep £666 but no fitting charge as they had the clutch out to do cranksaft oil seal. that was for flywheel, cover, plate and bearing.
I think I prefer the price you paid
