Wifes just come in from filling her car up - I have filled all of mine.
They are queuing down the street at both petrol stations
It could be too late already, but I would get filled up NOW!!
These panic buyers are a pain in the **** ..... they MAKE ME fill up as well!!

I heard it in Oxford.. the G/F woke up as well. My response - probably an explosion about 50 miles away (rolled over and fell asleep).
She couldn't believe I was right when the radio came on this morning!

We're near hungerford, berkshire and the doors rattled!
My dads now on the phone to people sorting out the 3 mobile network as their building was right next to it and everyone has been evacuated! Everythings manic in the household at the moment!

Can see the smoke here in Surrey, a distant strata of black cloud. Looks like it's spreading across the London area

We live near Hemel Hospital and the house shook with the bang. Interesting orange lights flashing over the neighbours houses from the direction of the industrial estate.
Haven't seen any houses or cars damaged on our way up and the place looks like a film set!!!
Have been up for a nosy towards Maylands Ave as our office is up there earlier on today.
A policeman told me that there is minor structural damage on the far side of the original building but as far as we could see, there are no windows blown at the back of the carpark. Am waiting to see if I get tomorrow off or not - left the laptop locked to my desk so I can't work from home!!
No petrol stations open here either.

WOw!
Wow, I'm just outside Hatfield and nearly jumped out my skin this morning, i thought the roof of my house had collapsed or something.
I took some pics of the mushroom and the orange horizon about 7am from the field by my house, will get them developed and scanned in later, looked like something out of a war movie.
And yes, just had a look people queing at petrol stations already!!!

Not seen the army around....yet....will have to go out again looking again
Policeman did tell us to go home and keep the doors/windows closed but we couldn't smell anything worse than what you would do normally from traffic fumes!!!!! All the vulture vans are at Wally World and there is a HUGE queue for McDonald's (get yer hands on 'em quick - Golden West is allegedly flattened)

the army was there at 6 this morning dont know if they are still there though
we were all kept away cos they thought a bomb or something had gone off...was very exciting
alll the petrol stations are in the process of shutting NOW
the gasses being given off by the smoke are not dangerouse, just not very nice, it is getting very smokey now)

I live in hemel and slept through the whole thing!? Just left to go to work and there is traffic queues everywhere for petrol. When i looked outside the window this morning it is kinda like really thick smog and the sun is very faint.
Only about 1 mile from the site.

I live in Surrey, Camberley to be exact and I thought a light plane had crashed into the side of my house at 6am this morning. I have been up and about scratching my head figuring out what caused it.
I have only just turned on the news and realised what it was.
