Part of the EGM & subsequent subs collection will be to refresh the list.
People who paid in 2007 and didn't return, have still paid a membership fee.

As we've grown substantially and are now very, very active, the changes to be put forward will be to;

• Remove the non 2008 payers from the list (pretty standard).
• Issuing the Club card to paid members who have shown some commitment to the club (say 3 months attending monthly meets and / or immediately getting stuck in with organisation and help at events and doo's)

Obviously this rules out all those people who have shown that commitment to date; so this will apply only to very new members (or to recent apying members falling in to the inactive bracket) as we don't want the discount scheme (and our good friends and sponsors) to be abused or for them to take the place of a long standing member on a limited trip or special one off event.

I think is what Paul's getting at, but also means those people who do pay membership and cannot make routinely, will also be recognised, but they should understand that active membership comes before inactive membership...

I think this is fair.... but we'll see what everyone has to say on the 21st...

 

Dave. If only 10 people turn up and cover the fee and have an utterly brilliant time, should this not be classed as a success?

I'd rather have a fantastic day with 10 committed petrol heads having a ball and than an OK day with 30 people just wanting to take advantage of the day but not really getting 'involved'.

I'd see Bly70n as a no brainer....

This means I'll be in my **cough** 60's, but I'll still be there..
