I'm looking into it too mate, got a gun dog - a labrador, going to have a chat with my uncle who used to shoot a lot to ge the low down, never know he may still have his guns!! thought about it a lot over the weekend, and the thought gets better and better!!

Just send it in anyway, then discuss all this when the officer makes the visit.

If it's rejected you get your money back anyway IIRC.

he's had 12 bores u/o s/s, and pump actions, he may still have his guns I know he did when he moved a few years back

was talking to my uncle, and he recommends a beretta for around £500 as it's lighter and good for a starter gun

I've now got a gun safe lined up, lets see how the police react to my application

As you need to discuss some issues with them just apply for shotgun first, if you get that, then apply for FAC after 3 months.
