Quality night, loads of scoobs and newbies.
I hope the split won't put the newbies off. I had to get some lost guys out of the car park and direct them to the seafront.
Maybe the old timers should split up in the group so the newbies are well looked after. And RADIOS ON please.

Feckin fantastic night!!

What a burn we had with those two rex's on the way back!!!
Plus I watched the video yesterday and I had no idea you stepped out so much when we launched it of those lights!!
No wonder I was infront
and as for that EVO 7 that went past, I was on him at......ahem....off clock speed.....when he pulled over......
Can't wait for the next one

Or an alternative would be to position a Blocker on the roundabout so all our cars go LEFT onto the A127 ( London Bound )
The short trip from the slip road onto the A127 & The exit of the 127 ( Next junction ) Also needs to be @ Nascar speed !!

Coming round the M25 you want J29 onto A127 Southend bound , follow this along till you come to the Basildon/Wickford slip (A132) . Take this slip down to the bottom go right around the roundabout & double back up the other side onto A127 now London bound .
Take the next exit off A127 into Mayflower retail park. Take second exit @ roundabout & go past KFC on your right . Follow this down to the bottom of the road & Tescos entrance is on the left , go past petrol & continue down to far end of car park .
Leave Tescos & TURN LEFT @ FIRST EXIT LONDON BOUND A127 .
Take next slip then first exit @ roundabout , get in right hand lane & take third exit @ roundabout back onto A127 Southend bound .
1. Please no doughnuts or flamefests in Tescos car park .
2. Please no lane weaving & indicate if you must change lane mid convoy .
3. Be ready for the "Underpass" slow down & launch.
Ditto @ traffic lights .
4. Radios set to Channel 1 .

Please don't mis-understand my observation/comments. It was not intended at the leaders of the convoy which i believe, and everyone else will agree, did a good job.
I guess someone must have decided to take a detour and us @ the back, Her-@-the back included, followed. Hence spliting the convoy.

Don't worry this has happened before mate.We get so used to just a few newbies being able to keep with the regulars. However Sat was the most newbies I have seen in a long time. And as soon as one car goes off route then others follow.
This is why people should invest in a two way radio. I have just upgraded mine to a pair of Uniden PMR885's. Up to 6km range.
