Of course what you REALLY should have done, rather than storm off like a sulking child, was to pull another girl in the club you were in and make a point of dancing near to your Girlfriend and see how she likes it. If she gets upset, you've made your point and you simply say "see darling - it's not nice when people are cruel to each other". If she couldn't care less, it tells you everything you need to know about her...
But let us know how you get on when she next plays you for a fool!

You need to think about it from your "So called" mates point of view too.
Think about it, if a girl starts flirting with you and paying you attention, of course your going to reciprocate - well 99% of men will if they haven't got their partners in tow.
Sorry, but I wouldn't bother with this lad too much from now on and as for her, if she behaves like that in front of you and continues after you've made it clear your not happy then shes clearly not for you.
How would she react if you were the one flirting with one of her mates? Never met a woman who was happy for thier man to pay attention to thier mates.
PS - seriously, in most cases the woman controls the situation.

And being that you left, obviously in a bit of a strop, I'd have thought she'd have rung you by now realising that you weren't best pleased....
Whether anything happened or not, I think she owes you an apology for flirting with your mate, so much so that your other mate was embarrassed, and you left on your own.

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Your mate knew what he was doing. Thats why he's paranoid about having you around his GF - he assumes you'll crack on to her because thats what he always does with his mates GF's.
That bit is easy - your mate is an ****.
Why the GF acted that way you've got to find out for yourself.

i jus called my other mate who was there last night, just to check that i wasnt being paranoid. He agreed with me, that they were being a bit ott, nothing in it, like i said earlier, but irritating all the same when it goes on a bit. If the situation had been reversed, ie: i was flirting with his missus, his head would have spun round an exploded.
You cant have one set of rules for one, an one for everyon else in a relationship situation, that jus dont wash !
I jus spoke to gf, she was in a most hungover state(ha ha) an had no idea why i went home by myself. I explained that it was a total lack of respect on my so called friends part, because he know me well enough to haveknow better, she was extremely drunk (an like i said earlier, a real live wire) so, she said sorry for upsetting me, i said sorry for not explaining myself last night (which is def what i should have done) an alls good.
Now that jus leaves my out of order mate to deal with, iv ordeded a gigantik wet fish, which i shal be slapping him about the face with depending on his reaction to my letting him know whats been occuring. His reaction will be most interesting, we wil see....
Thanks for all your advice/opinions, scoobynet is still the best forum goin.
Jus popping off to mark my teritory now by bolting in her face, all the best VinPetrol.

I had a similar situation a couple of months back. I said to my mates "right, theres this girl i like and she likes me, stay back and give me a chance, you guys can pull when ever you want" (cos im really crap with women) 2 of them stayed well back, the other went straight in there trying to get his end away. he was very apologetic the next day, but hes dreaming of a new computer (cos ive the destroyed the one he wanted repairing) and best friend for xmas.
Cant be doing with "mates" like that.
what a ****!

Ha Ha Ha ................ sorry, I only laugh as I have been there.
A girl/woman who flirts madly is trouble with a CAPITAL T!!!
You have seen what they do when you ARE there .................. what happens when you are NOT there??!!
My advice? For what its worth, is NOT to spend/waste any more time on this female ...................................
If you choose to spend more time with her, then don't hesitate about playing away!! She will be!!

It sounds like neither of them are worth the bother, and I agree with what someone else wrote - being drunk is no excuse. Drink just allows you to do the things you WANT to to do with lower inhibitions.
A guy can get easily carried away with a girl, to the extent that he will ignore the feelings of his best friend, but he has to overcome this and have some morals. You just don't mess around with a friend's bird - it's the law! If she started the flirting and he saw that it was annoying you (if you made it clear to see, it sounds like he was just ignoring you) he should have told her to knock it off. As you say, he should show some respect.
Likewise, your girlfriend should show some respect too. She shouldn't be flirting with other guys whether you're there or not. And again, if she sees it's upsetting you she should stop.
Neither of them deserve an apology. Could you not find a nicer girlfriend?

Simple, don't invite said mate out again, he'll soon get the message he pee'd you off, or if there's a next time, while he's getting on a bit to well with your missus, just drop in "So what's that lovely G/F of yours up to this evening, should have brought her out, haven't seen her for a while......which is a shame"
.
Make him feel a little uneasy

Vin, if he was a real mate he would not have done it, so I would have had a quite word with him, if it then carried on I would have seriously slapped him one, hope you sort it out.

what i don't understand is, on the one part your total animosity towards your friend, but on the other your total forgiveness of your girlfriend
.
they are both to blame equally. he is NOT a mate, and she is not much of a girlfriend. i would keep my distance from both of them for a while and wouldn't be too surprised if they ended up together.
