Leave it as it is. Maybe have avatars for SN plus+ members only?!
I like it as it is. not fussed either way. Just so long as it does not look too cluttered. Do you mean if you are a guest the google ads are underneath the first post in that thread, but untill you sign in that dispear to the bottom of the page?
