What a great Xmas present from the wife (NOT)

It's funny how no one things about the retailer in all of this. If you report her for fraud the bank will reverse the transactions, but who looses out ?
The companies who she paid to will get chargebacks and the money comes straight out of their accounts. There is no insurance or anything against that, it's just reversed and they loose out.
The bank don't cover it. They shaft retailers on credit card percentages for every card taken and drop them in it when the custer claims it wasn't them.
I got stung for £3k last month through my website. Was a few transactions which went through. Got a letter last week saying the correct card holder has been in touch and they've reversed the transactions. I'd already sent the goods. Policedon't want to know or the credit card company.

I work in retail
And I am supprised at the lack of care taken by companies, if people don't know there pin and ask to sign, I always ask them for another for of ID and if anybody who isnt a regular spends around £100 or more I always ask them for another form of ID (driving license etc)
Fortunatly everybody I have asked, quite a number, now have not taken offense and have thanked me for my vigilence.
