had a little bit of a moment today while out with some mates. got out in one piece other than a few cuts and brusies. cant remember what happened but i'm sure someone will post what happened!
So how can anyone making some guesses as to what happened result in him being called a liar - he doesn't remember what happened, so whatever we guess could well be the truth.

I love the way some people refuse to actually question what happened, instead just assuming the car fell off the road because the laws of physics decided to stop working for a minute.

Again, if we can understand what happened, it might help makes us better drivers. Saying 'it just happened, must have been ice' doesn't cut it for me.

the expert is back.

Just leave it, the bloke has crashed his car, the last thing he needs is know it alls like you, making out they know what happened.

If you wanna become a better driver, go on a course

i had toast this morning are you going to question that 2 and call me a liar just give it a break these people are more qualified to tell what happened seeing as they were all at the scene i dont recall you being there!
you could never pass judgement on this so just give it a break if you dont believe them so what, can you prove otherwise no i dont think so so what do you plan to achieve by accusing all witnesses as liars!!!!!!

I'm not calling anyone a liar, I asked why the car was on the wrong side of the road and no one (unless I've missed it) has actually answered. I have said all along I'm not qualified to access what happened, I simply pointed out that the skid marks appeared to be on the offside of the road and head towards the hedge - maybe there was ice or diesel and the car veered from the nearside to the offside and then back again - I don't know and no one seems to want to say.

If you come on here and post up photos of what appear to me to be a big accident (car on roof, air bags covered in blood etc), you have to expect people to be curious as to what happened, and analyse and discuss them.

Its a shame that people aren't willing to debate the issue, whether its a car on its roof in the middle of the road, or if PFF7's on a P1 look right without the conversation descending into insults. I often forget the internet is filled with people who behave like sheep, and then gather like wolves when one of their own is 'threatened' by some innocent questions.

It looks like the original people involved don't want to discuss this further, so I'll stop asking questions.

Its a shame that those of us that have been here for 4 years and have seen photos of every type of accident are made to feel like idiots for asking for simple information, next time I see photos like this, I'll remember to congratulate the driver on his ability not to have killed himself and leave it at that.

No its a shame that people on here think they know better than others on an accident they were not even present at.

Give it a rest

dave you have somehow managed to convince yourself that you werent being rude to those involved re-read what you have posted then you may understand that you came across very negative and very rude to those involved you DID imply that they were lying once you have posted things like that you cant expect to have a debate with people who have no respect for you!

Kind Regards,
The black sheep!

I HAVE answered why the car was on the wrong side of the road.

Si snaked over to that side after the very slight bend (yes lucky nothing was coming) hit the mud on that side (the wrong side) and the ploughed on (as per the skidmarks) into the hedge. The car had been set off balance coming over the rut, before that slight corner.

Why he didn't manage to keep it on the road after the bump and ruts I cannot explain (i was watching, i am not him) but if i can refer you back to Tony Walls' incident - sometimes people over correct things!

LOL @ innocent questions. I keep ******* answering them only to be (in a round about way) told I am a lying ****. Luckily I am quit laid back - but I can see why others might be getting annoyed.

Pointless, you dont see the lovely crash as the car infront of me is a crappy people carrier. My car sounds good on it tho LOL. Assume there is no video, sorry if i misled you into thinking it was of him actually ploughing into the hedge lol I was just getting frustrated!. That woulda been kinda cool and I think it woulda helped Si to understand too. I still wouldnt have posted it on the internet tho, after seeing the reception of pictures!

If that is what happened, then that is what happened. There is just one thing that hasn't been answered yet, what caused him to 'snake' on to the other side of the road after, in your words, 'a very slight bend'??

Scooblou, good thing you are not a judge, you'd let everyone off! ' Oh please sir, the watch must have fallen off the shelf and into my pocket as I walked past!'

The human race continues to grow and develop because of people asking questions. If we didn't, we all still live in caves.
I'm sure you will follow this post up with some pointless slur, reading something along the lines of ' I am better than you '.
If you think there is nothing to be learnt here, go and stick your head in the sand. I havn't called anyone a liar, nor has Dave. But there some obvious questions that just havn't been answered.

I took your advice Scooblou and read the first page again (for the 10th time),
and took this from post no.17.

'A little further down the road Si popped out past a people carrier which was travelling quite slow and as he came back to his side of the road the back must have begun to slip.'

To me, that reads like am assumption, nothing more, nothing less. So Scooblou, I am still none the wiser. Please explain what I, and many others, have missed???

Again read the 1st page, in fact, read the whole thread again.

'I am still none the wiser' hmmm must resist comment on that.

When you read the whole thread again, take note of my posts, especially where I point out I wasn't there.

If you really have nothing better to do in your life, get down to the crash site and do your own investigation. Im sure Si and the other people who were there have better things to do than answer your questions, which have already been answered in the thread.

I'm now off down the pub, will give you time to perhaps write an intelligent reply, if that is possible

So you never actually seen what happened then, as the people carrier was in-front of you?

Surely then, you can only comment on what happened, as much anyone else who wasn't there?

I did. Oh look someone else calling me a liar. I was looking for overtake at the time. The cam didnt as it was on the other side of the car, and lower. I was just about to go when he went off actually - so i was pretty lucky in a way as it woulda been me.

Ok.

Preza Si has done everything properly and i have been an idiot in considering otherwise. If only things were so painfully obvious, to me and others who have commented.

I can't comment on who was doing what because i wasn't there, but the photos don't build a good argument.

Luckily he was able to walk away and no one was injured.

But i can't understand why you commented that the road was tracked from lorries making overtaking hard [if so why bother], and all so everyones aware of how bad the weather has been, would that possibly explain whay the other cars were going slower? driving to the conditions.

And if your true mates you'd defend him to the hilt and you'd never really say what happened, and i wouldn't expect it, i'd do the same for my mates. Thats what a mate does.

Also to the G/F you say you trust them becasue they're all sensible drivers?, well SiDHEaD commented in one of the earlier posts that he drives a lot faster when hes on his own???, ruins your statements case i'm afraid.

Either way everything posted is not relevant, but the fact that he's ok is.

And no ones gonna be more peeved then the lad who's just wrote off £7k's worth of impreza. So i'm pretty sure he doesn't need telling what a silly billy he's been.

All the best Mark.

Rutted road - well yeah it did put me off overtaking, but only once I'd already pulled out to do it. Had to ease off a bit because of it.

I must be REALLY blinkered by the fact i was there, but I cannot see how the pictures build a bad story?! The only one not of the damage is just some skid marks into a hedge.

I meant i drive faster when not in convoy lol. I do drive faster without the missus onboard tho as she cries. If i thought he was driving like a tit i would say so. I drive like a tit at times, so i know the signs

As for other cars travelling slower. Every single time i travel on an A road someone is doing 40-45mph - even In the middle of summer. I hate sitting behind them, and will be past as soon as possible.

Quick Reply: little prob with the car!!!
