No one, when one of the mods is the webby!

Shaun

Why is the waterspray tank being removed? Not required for Tesco shopping run?

Have you got the weight down to 1330kg yet? Let me know when you are "ready"....

F,
That sold out a number of weeks ago. I was already to give the car a shakedown in it's current standard(ish) handling setup at Dono yesterday, but that was cancelled due to bad weather.

Buckley,
Already got sub that figure (if you're referring to dry weight) already..... the car weighed 1340kg with 3/4's tank of fuel and a full 12ltr spray tank (after interior strip). Have not weighed it since the bucket seats have gone in though... which will be some more weight off. The weight saving is not stopping there though.... still have a number of other "things" to change.

I'm ready then.... what we doing!

Regards,
Shaun.

Hmmmmm, I shall have to get some tweaking done, so we are more level pegging!

I am up for any track day / Nurburgring trips in 2006. You let me know when / where you are going and I shall do my best to attend

I also need to hear these equal length headers at full chat!

Best regards

It don't matter what power or setup I have.... I can't drive for ****!

If I get a chance sometime, I will bring the car over as your only down the road.

Shaun,

daft questions - but what seat mounts are you using and are they fixed?

Height adjustable?

Not that I am modifiying my car per se as you know

Rannoch,

Ahhh...... If I told you that I would have to kill you!

It will all be explained in the up and coming "Newage Modification - Interior" article, but think of a plasma cutter, welder, side mounts and a set of standard seat rails and sliders.... get the picture!

BTW.... I never thought I would do what I am doing now (not to this extent)... but as I appreciate you know already, words are only words!

Regards,
Shaun.

Why are you removing the I/C spray tank from the boot?

Buck,

It's not 100% being removed, but should my testings prove (should find out fairly soon) that a FMIC is better then it will be a goner!

Edited to add..... if this round of mod's don't require it...... i'm pretty sure the final stage of engine work will, so either way it's days are numbered!

Regards,
Shaun.

Graham,
As each stage of modification (whether that is engine, interior, exterior or handling) is complete, the appropriate article will be produced in the Official Article Forum.

Aston,

Hurry up! I need to know if its worth buying a front mount or not

I actually disconnect my waterspray jet, and connected the bottle to my water injection system. The SpecC ECU allowed me to use the Boost/temp mappings to trigger the WI.

And the bottle has a low level warning, which is a bonus.

Its just a thought!

It never came up in conversation (and im now only a few BHP ahead of you )

At the end of the day, its not hard to do, as you don't need half of the 1s ERL kit. Next meet, ill pop the bonnet so you can have a look.

Unfortunately, things have moved slightly slower than I anticipated. BUT..... my new twin scroll turbo should be with me in a week or so. Then it's down to work and on with Engine Stage 2!

Don't worry...... the car needs to have Engine Stage 2 completed and Handling Stage 2 completed (Handling Stage 1 already done) prior to May, so I need to leave myself plenty of "car" time before May to learn how to drive it properly once finished!

Regards,
Shaun.

Don't take too long, I have so much baited breath that I have to brush my teeth ten times a day

Interested in that too , I was still getting a wee bit too much understeer at Brands. However the only mods are PFF7's, whiteline rear rollbar and front bushed, ALK and a lower suspension brace.
Its alright!, but nowhere near my old car with all the above and Leda's all round.

Talking of handling/learning, are you thinking of a http://www.donpalmer.co.uk/ day??

Hol,

That's interesting as mine with the same kind of mods (appropriate to Handling Stage 1) is nigh on perfect tbh. If you havent had it checked, perhaps look at your geometry settings. But.... I also have eibach springs on the car as well. Thats of course until the suspension is ripped off, and my 3 way adjustable, remote reservoir competition struts are put on (Handling Stage 2).

Regards,
Shaun.
