20 years with an Omega seamaster I got for my 16th birthday. Just had it serviced recently and it looks like new.

Seiko Sportura 451 - 1 week old, lovely watch
SWRT - 2 years old, works great, original battery
Next TV shape watch - 3 years old, original battery, works great
Accurist Chrono - 11 years old but needs a battery I think, still works.
Original 1986 Swatch - still works and still boxed, could be worth a mint.

Have some more somewhere as well, always keep my watches for years.

GMT II, about 11 yrs. Should go for a bit longer...

Trusty Pulsar pseudo-diver's watch lasted 15 yrs before that. A good £50!

Anyone hear has a Sector 950 watch? I got mine 3 years ago without instructions, and I still didn't figure out how exactly it works.

If you don't wash your watch for lets say 27 years, then a buildup of dead skin and sweat clings to the watch, starts to rot, turns green thus creates a smell. This then transfers to your wrist. Thus "Smelly wrist Syndrome" Thought everybody knew that? Even Ant & Dec have mentioned it before on SMTV. Not that I regularily tuned in to watch it, or the lovely Cat of course.

Wash mine at least every six months.

Phil, they don't float my boat at all. Neither do the sodding great Panerais.

ryn004, I read some great advice (when it was a bit late for me!): If you want one, buy it while you're young. Coz when you're older with kids and a mortgage, you'll never be able to afford it!

I had a false one when I was a student and bartender - it used to make my wrist turn green when I was sweating.

I currently wear nothing too exotic : just an Armed Forces analogue or a Subaru Prodrive Seiko with dials so small I can't make them out.

The Casio's were bloody brilliant though! Efficiency through simplicity.

My Accurst is 10 years old now - had 1 battery! Was an 18th Birthday present - so nearly 11 years old

It's been pretty good - though the strap is starting to get a bit tight now - had load of links taken our originally - strap must be shrinking with age now

It was designed to commemorate the moon landing:

"Spaceman was designed as a hallmark to the epochal Moon Landing of the Space Age. From the asymmetrical semi-conical domed crystal, modeled after an Astronaut's helmet and video sphere style dial, to the white triple split Corfam band, resembling the landing gear from a 60's era NASA space pod."

I love it, totally unique.
