My one and only watch was given to me by my grandad just before he died aged 96, its approx 70 years old still works and had the loudest alarm ive ever heard and worth a mint as its gold.
Wouldnt part with it for the world !!!

$400 USD for my Citizen Watch which I have been wearing everyday for 7 years now

My dad has his Seiko watch for around 11 years now and is still wearing it today. You pay for the quality.
Also got a G-Shock that I got back in 1996 but haven't been wearing it since the Citizen took over.

ACCU.2 which is 6 years old, had about 3 batterys 
i belive accurist make them?
was a present when i was 21 year old and can not find the box
no idea what model it is, it has these markings on the back
CAL.0S60 (after sum googling i kinda think it might be the mech inside??)

ordered a battery from ebay as i suspect my local watch bloke is fitting **** ones for over inflated prices
does the back simply "unscrew" ?
i assume it must have a O ring inside to keep the water out ?
got another one i can wear if needed that was my dads, but its gold, and a bit to bling for me tbh

That TH is now sixteen years old, I seldom wear it now though. Out of my whole collection my current favourite is a 1969 Omega Chronostop (rarer 920Cal with date). When Im not wearing that I have year-old Seiko SKX009 big dive. I also have a 1974 Omega Dynamic automatic (very rare 1012Cal) that I like, but its away being serviced; and a manual wind 1964 Seamaster 600, that I wear too.....

My fake Tag has lasted 19 years including a spell in my fish tank, found it on the floor in Stockport.
My others are all still working but the batteries go flat.
Going to get a Vintage Seamaster at some point.

My Dynamic is similar to this, although the dial is blue-silver-blue.
The Chronostop is similar to this, but its cleaner.

Mine is a Breitling Jupitor pilot, the best Quartz watch Breitling have ever produced.....even though they have kidded themselves they made a better one with the SuperQuartz series, but they didnt fool me.
PS. JACKO your crown has lost its chrome plate, showing tell tale signs of brass/copper base metal, they all go like that...originals are solid St/steel as you know.
But it does the job.

Its obviously a fake; combining 'features' of the 2000 with the more expensive 4000 models. Theyve struggled to find a quartz movement to fit too.....

to be honest, i could not be arsed with "people" constantly asking to check it to see if its real
the ones i wear, mean something to me, like the one i posted about above, it was given to me for my 21st birthday, not bothered if it only cost £140 at the time, its a sign of my ever fading youth
same with the old man's gold accurist jobbie, which i have only worn once (to his funeral) would never sell it or chuck it out.
i would like a nice tasty expensive watch, but it would have to be an obscure thing, so the "n00bs" were not constantly wanting to check it to see if its real
ps. i managed to get the back unscrewed on it, so a new battery is going iin ASAP

Mick, if it unscrews itll probably have recessed notches for a tool to fit into. If not then itll probably need to be prised off with a blunt knife.

Dad's Rolex for during the week (Dad bought it roughly the same time I was born - so 44 years old). Mum had traded it in when dad got a replacement - dealer had agreed £100 for it - managed to convince them not to trade in and gift it to me instead

Got a Breitling Montbriliant Daytora and had it for about 3 and half years now. It's the same as the one in the pic with a brown crocodile leather strap.
It'll be getting changed soon for a Franck Muller or a Graham Stingray

I have an 18 year old Maurice Lacroix automatic day/date with embossed pearl face, blue anodized hands and lizard strap. Still working perfectly, but only used occasionally as a dress watch.
My daily watch is an Oris Big Crown Original Pointer Date 40mm Rose/Steel like....
...which is about 7 years old.

I bought a Casio in Hong Kong in 1984 and I set the moon rise on the dial on the way back and it is still right now!
Actually it still is accurate to 3 seconds a month so thats not bad.

Omega Seamaster will be 3 years old in December
Timex Expedition is 4 years old. I changed the original strap as it was irritating my wrist.
I quite fancy another Omega or perhaps a Breitling

funny thread this- I actually love a nice watch- but it'd be lost on me. in 30 odd yrs of having watches, they just break, I loose them, the straps go, I smash the glass. guess my life is too silly to have some delicate on my wrist !!!!!!
I did my my father a rolex something or other a couple of yrs ago: figured he'd look after it well and then in many yrs it'd (sadly) find its way back to me ! that sounds terrible, but he really wanted one. and I'm still not responsible enough for a nice watch !
just looking at scooby - mad's timex - I had one a bit similar about 7 yrs ago- still got it, works fine but the bezel that spins round fell off/loose. what is it with me !
