Your mate's grey 2 door was almost certainly a Type-R. P1s are all blue and that colour was reserved for STIs and RB5s (4 door).

DCCD says on the packet that you will get approx 65% rear bias, but that isn't the full picture. As it's an open diff when it's set to 65%, as soon as you experience oversteer the car behaves pretty much like a RWD vehicle, as all the power starts going to path of least resistance (i.e. the spinning rear wheels).

HID kits can be had for approx £150 btw.

Default Type R

Good choice on the type of Scooby.

One thing to make sure of and this is an important one. HPI it!!

And

Since about April last yest (05) you can't import and register and Subarus less than 10 years old in the UK. Make sure its been SVA'd and uk registered. When I was car hunting I came accross loads of ads (Auto Trader etc) where upon further inspection hadn't been registered.

I've only had mine about a month so I'm learning to live with it.

Pics below....Click

http://yars.fotopic.net/p23879234.html

Does anyone want to take a stab at a fair price to benchmark?

I like all the other Type R's posted too

Bit of advice..

Do a search on the people selling it (on any car forum) if it's a long way from you.

If you can get a someone that has experience with scoobs to come along with you, then it maybe worth viewing the car. Just to get an idea of what kind of car you want.

That car is a V5 sti, which had the newer front bumper, crystal headlights, updated interior and phase 2 engine.

Yeah, good one, pull the other, it's got bells on.

Keefley like importing stolen recovereds/damaged/grade fooked cars then tarting them up with cardboard, sticky backed plastic and some washing up liquid bottles. If you buy a car there you deserve everything you get, and i mean it!
