What do you mean "route sorted"? I thought this was supposed to be a recce? You mean to say you actually have the route now, and I'm not coming cause I'll be in Wetherby with a hangover Bugger, in fact, double bugger
Have a good time everyone, and take lots of pictures
chris.

As I said, route is all sorted and Carl555dbm has done some checking and (as you can see below) verified some of the roads.

I have also contacted some of the South Wales boys and they may join us for part of the route.

This is going to be a great run.

Meeting points will be the Shell Garage next to the Unicorn in Wilmslow (8am), the Shell Garage at the Chelford roundabout (8:20am), Sandbach Services (if required) 8:50.

The route is long so need to fill up first, but Optimax stops are planned into the route also.

Lunch I am not sure about yet. There is a cafe en-route (open 10am-3pm) or we can get chips on the sea-front (Oh-yes, I said sea-front!) or bring your own food or pick up a sandwich at the petrol station.

Please bring cameras and video cameras and pass anything you have at the end to me so I can add it to the SMACS DVD '06. As you can see, there are plenty of photo opportunities.

Can we put names in the frames please:

Oh, and CW - we WILL be doing this one again later in the year so you will not miss out.

I feel like the only one left in the country with a classic now!!
Very very nice Andy – a serious spec that car has.

Is there any point in me asking how it compares to your classic??!!!

M6 roundabout is fine Steel. We are getting in to Wales via route we did last time and meeting Carl like we did last time.

The route then takes heads off to the left rather than the right as it has done in the past.

Default Thirsty beasts - too right!

I did chuckle when I saw that about thirsty cars...at Oulton Park last weekend a combination of my Impreza and my 'spirited' driving saw off £50's worth of Optimax in a mere 87 miles on the track. Thank #@£% for fuel cards! Is this a record by the way?

I have a mate in Hawarden, Wales with an Elise 111s who would probably like to join us. Assuming that is ok, what time and where would we suggest he meets us with us? He will come to wherever on our route, don't worry...

You 2 are a pair of light weights I'd done around 500 miles in the first few days of getting mine Get yourself to wales beefy, steelx did it last year with a 4k limit I'm sure and still managed to stay out front and get lost

Yup. I did Wales while running the car in and never went above 4K.

Also did the first 1000 miles in 3 days which was a dealer record (so they told me).

Was actually really worthwhile. Getting to know the car correctly while keeping the power limited.

Won't be limiting it this time around though

Steel
4k revs on a 300 BHP beast would help with keeping up alot better than with my measly 225 BHP.

PPP will sadly have to wait until the summer due to cash-flow restrictions.

225bhp is that all you've got! Better stay at home Graham till you've got some proper horses

Can't believe they didn't chuck in the PPP for free! They were in the Summer. Tight gits!

I'd let you have mine but I like it too much!!!!
