Tickets - I've arranged to call the chap when we get to the NEC. He'll be checking out of the Hilton at 10am, so as long as we get there before then we should be okay.
If you can get to Dazza's, Al's or the Holmfield Arms I can pick you up there, alternatively, let me know where you want collecting from and I'll see what I can do.
Just to keep everything from going t*ts up, can we all make sure we take enough brass with us to get in at the full price. The chap who has the tickets sounds absolutely genuine, but it would be prudent to plan for a worst case scenario.
WTF is Didliodoo padum padum paadum padum?

OK. Just spoken to Andy.. My Mom's in Hosptal and isn't too well.
As she can only take visitors in the late afternoon / evening for one hour, I'm off to God's Country (Black Country ) tonight to see her.
I'll see you outside the Hilton at 9:30. and I'll shoot off to see her again later on Sunday and make my own way back..
Have a good trip down and I'll see you all tomorrow..

Got back a little earlier.. Stunning day... simply too much to mention before I pop for a bath and bed... But I, Sticky, Dazza, Paul & Debs or Ali will type up various bits and I'm sure there'll be pics a plenty of various cars (including the stunning Prodrive concept ) the awesome live show and a fair few Bottoms..
Speaking of the live show.. we must find out who that guy spinning that Scoob 6-7 times in 14 seconds was... His side exhausts putting out pure blue flames at idle was jaw dropping Oh, the 6R4, Rally-X pair & two GT Winning 360's had the hairs standing up..

The other half & myself went along today and i have to say it was a brilliant day! The show was spectacular. Great to see the two Mcraes there strutting their stuff!
I must say though, i dont think much of the new P2. Dont get me wrong, nice car, but it just doesn't look like a subaru, anyone else agree??

It's NOT a SUBARU it's a PRODRIVE
That's like saying an Ariel Atom doesn't look like a Honda.
But it DOES look a damned sight better than any concepts that Subaru have been putting out recently, and they could do to take a long, hard look at it.
Personally, I think it looks simply awesome, and it was enough to sway the ols Stickyswingometer back towards the Subaru / Prodrive camp...
...for about 10 minutes, until a chap on the 'bishi stand confirmed that the Evo X Concept IS going into production later this year, and it WILL look very much like the concept prototype, and I'll be able to get my **** into the seat of one by next March/April/May.
SOLD!
As for the rest of the day... The live show was worth the entry fee alone, some cracking no-holds-barred racing in some instances, and to see Messrs Brookes & McRae Snr made me feel like I was 18 all over again.
Off to look for a MK2 Escort with forest arches and a BDA engine...

I wouldn't count your chickens yet mate, it may be a bag of spanners... So could the Prodrive.. But I'd bet they're more likely to get it right and a little more 'special'..
Maybe it's also not worth buying the X until the MR verisons are out???
Rergardless of how well the mags and owners say they're good. It's just not reflected in the sales figures or in simple terms like the Live show where there were 3 scoobs doing their Stuff under Mr Grant, Mcrae and that other rally driver (name escapes me).. There's a reason surely? (not having a go of course.. just commenting )
Anyway.. where's the pics???????????????????????
