I would say it would be great to walk
I had planned to walk to a castle that was close by the church for photos
but it was pouring with rain!! In the middle of August
Have a back up plan. We had someone with a jag and a jeep with ribbons on standby.
Worked out fine in the end.

Wow i know i would prefer a ribboned scooby complete with convoy 
Will look wonderful and you could go for a drive round first (bit like funeral cars that go out of their way before reaching final destination)
Whatever you do DONT WALK as it will ruin your dress
