I have looked at it - nothing obvious to me, but then I'm not a mechanic.

It's only the cleaner who uses it anyway.

Henry all the way. Got one at home and at work.

Work one is 10+ years old, gets thrown in the vans, and used in all ways, from hoovereing sawdust off a nice lady customers rug, to extracting a 7.5hp working Wadkin bandsaw. And still he keeps smiling.

No bags needed, and never put a screwdriver too it.

We have a Miele "Cat and Dog", oddly enough because we have pet hairs to suck up.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. It also handles pooh in various stages of congealment as well.

And the HEPA and charcoal filters catch the smell

Wouldn't change it for anything...

My Philips vacuum died at the weekend after 10 years of hard use. Bought a Tesco cyclonic for under £40. **** me! The carpets have *never* been cleaner!

Another Henry devotee here

We stripped all the old plaster from our kitchen & hall walls last year, and our 10yo Henry shifted everything from the really fine dust to lumps that only just went up the tube. Took him apart afterwards to give him a bath, and he's back to hoovering up the cat hair with no obvious ill effects

PS My Mum's on her third Dyson in 4 years. As they say, sheep are there for shearing
