"...This turbo was originally introduced on the Limited Edition STi Type RA Spec C. As of 10/01, this turbo comes standard on all STi versions in Japan. This turbo features the same specs as the VF30, but features an all ball bearing center section for even faster spool (about 250 rpm faster than the VF30 according to IHI.."

I will be representing the Wagon Squadron on the 'Best of SIDC Stand'
I wont be partaking in any track action as taking it steady on new engine.
I believe Trails from the Squadron will also be in attendance.
Keith any plans to mobilize the rest of the squadron

My 1999 Version 5 STI Wagon
My JDM Wagon Well I've been a lurker for a while and thought its about time I show my face
Here's My Version 5 STi 280ps Wagon, was a semi nice day today so it would have been rude not to take a few photos.
Its bone standard as delivered from the factory with only 1 previous woman keeper but sadly will need to go to a new home any time now

Not sure how you much you now about Impreza models and stuff to look out for, theres lots of dodgy people out there with cars pretending to be what they are, so its very muc buyer beware and do some homework, i.e. if someone is selling a Classic UK WRX there is no such thing, WRX model, wasnt availabled in uk as a classic all WRXs were imports, and vice versa they try to make uk cars look like more exotic jdm versions
This one appears clean, but looks like its been tarted up cosmetically and a bit fat exhaust. Which itself may be good or bad, i.e. some people may prefer them standard factory fresh and unmolested. Its got new age alloys, sti clear rear lights, front lip and those are 22b fog covers so must be a 22b bumper, somebody has spent a lot of money on the cosmetics, just wonder what condition it is in and the condition and history of engine.
Because a scooby is standard 'some' may say it may have been unloved and not owned by an enthusiast, so were they pedantic about warming up cooling down, oil chnages, servicung etc, but equally enthusiasts want to keep them from looking like Chav Chariots and want to keep them clean and unmolested, less is more but again on the other hand does it mean a modified one has been thrashed within an inch of its life, maybe not if you are an enthusiast and spent thiusands on it you are not going to rag it and kill it. so its very much horses for courses.
Its a minefield
seems a bit steep in price .. but It looks nice but you have to be sceptical and check throughly its history.

as Steve said lots of dodgy\in-correctly advertised scoobs around but this one does look clean; its defiantly a JDM car (roof mounted aerial, wind deflectors etc), but its an automatic
best bet is to go see as many cars as you can AND drive them to get an idea of how they feel...then come on here and ask silly questions

Hi mate , she's just clicked 85k and recently had full engine/head rebuild from top to bottom... v9 crank , ACL Race bearing etc. It runs like a dream I really dont want to sell but recent redundancy is forcing the hand . Someone will have a bargin soon at my expense. Took me months to find this one too.
I'll be advertising it shortly on pistonheads and here when I get the advert together.
Do you know anyone who may be interested!
