basically it is Light Water valley - Rippon, Yorkshire. gates open about 9am i think, you will be guided onto stand, just tell the marshalls you are with 'ScoobyWagon' on the 'Wagon Corner Stand'

Us southerners have wagon accomodation booked at Scotch corner on A1 for sat night.

Just some thoughts.

At what point do we "close" the stand? If we are going to try and co-ordinate by make or colour (or both) then we won't want lots of Wagons turning up on the day, unplanned, otherwise it will make it difficult to allocate cars correctly and the stand will look like a car park (unless you just want maximum numbers of course).

Also, do we have the size of our stand yet?

officially it is 30 yards by 30 yards enough for 18 cars comfortably but as the Boss i have managed a few more inches !!!!

But note what your saying for colour co-ordination so can we get a definate list up

Maybe we could have the following formations:

3 wagon squadron pilots all parked up in formation with the squadron colours flying

We have one big white Gazebo and one green and white gazebo coming.

I am sorting out some bunting and garden canes to make a wagon enclosure for the stand

Like the idea of the Wagons, and the other two nose to nose, but they will take up a fair amount of space to make the separate displays stand out.

Will have a look based on measurements and numbers listed so far.

I've just had pippa (mrs smiles) call me with a nightmare which i need to post up.... The company told her the t-shirts were ready to pick up, but they ****ed them up apparently

...So wouldnt expect anyone to pay the money for a top that wasnt what we had designed, so I have refused to accept them as they are crap... I have told them to stuff it and will go somewhere else that are not incompetent... so this means no tops.

Pip has been ringing around and found a company that is local to us so we can speak to someone direct in a shop which is so much better, thye can do us a proof sample one which i will bring with me and then everyone can see it and we can make changes to design if we want. As I say am not happy expecting people to pay for a top that is crap and the design is not what we want then have people buy another one when we get them re-designed.

I have another issue also

Because i paid for all the t-shirts and stickers etc up front (bit stupid of me now.. hindsight is a beautiful thing) and the company has done us over, cant get a refund now till after the weekend, which is absolutely useless to us, so struggling to find payment out of own pocket now for the banner and bits as all own money is tied up with this damm t-shirt company and dont get paid till nect week

Does anyone want to contribute towards payment of the banner, chipping in whatever they can... approx £100 total it will cost ... it is 8ft x 2ft and we can reuse it for all the shows/ meets or events.

If you want to contribute anything off course we can send you a receipt andm it might be worth appointing someone a 'Funds' person to control a pot for such expenses etc if you would like to donate anything you can use paypal to - smiles@verio.net or put something in the pot on the day

Can I give a tenner to you on the day towards the Banner and if every one else gives £5-8 will that cover it as we cant have you loosing out on that

It will be only a couple of pints less or a no desert in our Wagon Banquet on the Saturday Night and this is a priority so Smiles doesnt loose out financially


Dont worry about the T-Shirts there is a stand there called polar wear who alot of the clubs use as he is a member of the LADS and is a decent bloke he will then design them ,make a proper job of it and we will get them for the next Wagon Meet

So as a back up Can EVERYONE on the stand wear a SUBARU T-SHIRT !!!!

if we have a decent banner and a tent that will do as it is only our first show and we will learn from the other stands but it will causea lot of interest just seeing rows of wagons lined up

Number plates i think i will have to give a miss on those for mine as Im getting some for Cumbrian Scoobs (my local club) for some other shows Im atending

15 will fit nicely in the space allocated although we could squeeze a couple more in but at the NBO committee meeting last night it could be dangerous if lonely /indepentand wagons try to join the stand after 11AM so to obey the Chief NBO marshalls advice we wont be able to let wagons into our stand after the stand is set up

Ok Banner is confirmed will need to spend the petrol and wagon accomodation money to get the banner, then re-imbursements should pay for my room and wagon banquet bill...

Mrs smiles wont be coming now to save us some money also, should get longer range on a tank with the lighter payload

I will pm you all your booking references for wagon accomodation.

I have two spare SUBARU tops that I will wash and iron to bring with me as backup in case we have some eone trying to support england

I will be wearing my PINK ESC Colours ...Add a bit of colour to the stand

 

Lordharding the number plate will be £15 and it'll have ScoobyWagons lettering with username along the bottom with border. I won't be arriving till about 11am on Sunday due to being in a convoy from Runcorn/Widnes/Warrington and also with some of the Wales people, and whoever else turns up at Charnock Richards servives on the M6. I'll collect money for the plates on the day .
