How cool is that, a Wagon Run
Loads of posts to catch up, the Squadron can de-brief me later on whats been happening at squadron headquarters.
Must seriously get down to some wagon searching since we sold ours, been too full on at work at moment.
Looks like I am going to miss out on some good wagoneering what with the Wagon Tunnel run and the Blackpool big one. When I am back in wagon ownership we must organise the 'Wagon Big One'
I am torn between just rushing out and finding the first wagon i see advertised on here or on pistonheads so can back in it agan, or the more considered approach of waiting for the right one then pouncing.
I do prefer the second option, waiting for a suitable donor for the next Smiles Project ... after seeing the thread for the 22b wagon, I have a vison of a 'Wagon Type-WA' or how about a 'Spec-W'
So do i rush out and buy one or find a donor for a project to do over the winter ....Anyone ever done a nitrous wagon
Loads of pics to put up from NBO Wagon Show that never got round to, will get them sorted and put up
...Keep them wagons rolling

Gosh !!!
Been away for a week, and no posts on this thread in that time.
Glad Smiles is about - no requirement to hand in wings.........yet !!!
So......if 2006 is Year of the Wagon (no tee shirts yet) what will 2007 be?
Note that moves are afoot to have an SBO next year. There will of course need to be a Wagon Corner or similar arrangement. I am hoping to organise a separate Wagon Squadron presence utilising a "Diamond Nine" or some such formation (very limited number of cars on this display...obviously) - uniforms - maybe even a simulator for non-Wagon owners (come and lie in the boot, or load up a big box...chest of drawers etc) - field HQ - ooooh...lots of ideas................

The SBO sounds a good one, as it happens I have the Wagons Paw in the Sallons door allready ...as Andy the organiser is the Hants regional Organiser and we happen to live about 10 minutes away from each other and get the same train n the mornings.... so there will be no favouriteism I promise
He's allready asked me to promote the wagon stand(s) and get some interest on the wagon threads

..Now that I am getting more free time, sorted out our move and changed roles work, I can get stuck in and pick up where I left off, T-shirt & sticker production can be resumed and working on organising wagon events.
We must organise the wagon rolling road day and a day at the Pod for some strip action ... Krud, will the Scoobbabes be attending
...Oh forgot, I dont have a wagon at the moment.... does someone need a co-pilot or navigator until we our back in the cockpit
...Love the idea of the wagon squadron formation and the simulator , we have all winter to formulate some plans in the Wagon Top Secret Bunker and for me to find a suitable addition to the squadron.
Krud, when is the next squadron sortie planned for maybe we could drop by squadron field hq in the temporary mode of transport
....Smiler out

I posted a response to the "concerns" explaining our philosophy and how we endeavoured to meet the judging criteria (I think on the NBO thread itself) and that seemed to satisfy everyone, once i explained about the Squadron folder and themes for the day.
There are no hard feelings anywhere to my knowledge so the issue is well and truly put to bed.

But in a nutshell...
the STI wagon is only available as jap import and the v7 was the last version made, there was not a Wagon version of the Type UK wic is criminal
'94 - first STI 1 wagon 250bhp
'95 - STI II wagon 270bp - 555 limited edition wagon released
'96 - STI III Wagon 280 - facelift
'97 - STI IV
'98 - STI V - facelift
'99 - STI VI
'2000 -STI V7 - Bugeye was last STI Wagon.
STI 5 wagon will go for about 7-8k
STI 7 for nearer 10k
so on your budget you are looking at a VI/II or III for that budget, but you get what you pay for, you may see a 4 or 5 but they will probably be dogs at that price, STI Wagons are rarer than the proverbial Rocking Horse **** so hole ther value and will go for whatever you are prepared to pay, find a unmodifed one if you can.
Hope that helps
