The actual model code for a STi v2 wagon is the same as the WRX, only on the v3 did they get their own model code.

e.g a v2 STI is a GF8C58D the '8' denotes a WRX. but a v3 is a GF8D5ED the 'E' Denoting STI.

At the end of the day its still an STI has 40hp more than a base wrx it is based on and being a limited edition and with that paint is exclusive as ****

worth getting, v rare as you say and still quicker than standard...what is the rev limit; 7k like or wrx or 8k like the sti...that will make a difference

The Hampshire Flight HQ Mess had a curry night last night, so in fact there may be some turbulence occuring

 

What paperwork should i be checking for, other than the MOT and V5, does it need any import paperwork or SVA docs etc. Anything dodgy that importers to, whuch then make it hard to insure etc when they registered it.

I have found out that it was imported in July and has been first registered in august, so i would be the second uk owner, the trader would be first owner with no previous.

I think the title sums it up really... what a Joker

Why do people have to lie, just wastes everybodies time

I dont think i have ever seen such a rough and scrappy car in my entire life, our E reg 205 GTI we sold last year was in better condition.

When we pulled up, before i even got out the car my heart sank and then it just whent down hill, I was trying to find things to like about it and trying to justify and make excuses, but at the end of the day it was a complete dog and i had to accept that

Now every car has a price and taking all faults and issues into account then this can be factored and negotiated into the bargain, bu this guy wanted a mint example price for this dog and there were a whole catalog of things to know it down on and drive down the price, but he wasnt goin to budge. he wanted 4500 for it which was a fair price if it was good and honest, i wouldnt have given him more than 3500 considering the amount of work needed to make it even back to anywhere near good condition, thats before you could even start to spend money on goodies like, exhausts, brakes, engine bits.

Several things also seemed/ were dodgy

List:

* Condition both interior and exterior far worse than described - all bumpers heavily scuffed scrapped and cracked, every single panel scratched, scored or dented. would require total respray as a complete mess, so that would have to be costed in.

* It was stated that it had the original wheels also, but when i said i would only want it with the original alloys he said they ahd been taken off and he had put them on another saloon. So the limited edition wheels were now gone and no hope probably of ever finding another set, so the car again to me was worthless without the original wheels.

* The window tints were peeeling and blistering and bubbling .. looked horrid

* All the windows rubbers and seals were persihing and crumbling

* The brakes all round needed replacing, and driving it was dangerous, they were useless.

* the clutch slipped and stunk, had the window down to listen to engone and for smells

* The speedo clocked up in KM on the odometer and speedo, but had a MPH face

* The speed limiter was still in place, so kept bouncing around and dropping of when booting it

* it felt so tight and restricted, i couldnt feel the turbo kick in at all, had more power in our punto

* short shift gearbox that was horrid

* Now a big one.... when I checked the V5 it said 'Body Plan - Saloon' WTF

* No number plates .. "I havent had chance to get any made yet" ..What since the car got a V5 in August

So with all that said we just walked away

So back to Square one and a very lucky escape I am thinking but the really dissapointed as this could have been a verey unique and stunning wagon.

 

So apart form that it was a nice wagon!!
