I've been one of the frst to defend SM in the past and applaud Jon and Dee for actually having the ***** to try and make a go of a Subaru magazine. I purchased every copy without fail and didn't mind the long waits; my attitude was that it was a good read when it came.
I do, however, feel that a simple note -even if just on SN, as their website no longer works- as a token gesture to the subscribers would have been appropriate. There may be legal reasons why a detailed disclosure cannot be made, but I can't see why this fact could not be stated with an apology.
I'm really saddened by the fact that this mag appears to have gone under for, allegedly, the dishonesty of contributor and a legal action by HB and can understand that Jon and Dee must be very busy trying to sort the mess out. But, when you take money off people in good faith and undertake that, in return, you will deliver a service you have a comitment to keep your customers informed- even if the news is simply, "Sorry, but you'll know when I know!"

Hello everyone. I must apologise for our absence from the forums for a while. Myself and Jon are at present trying to sort things out with regard to the magazine and its subscribers. Unfortunately much of it is waiting on third parties. As soon as we are in a position to give further information we will contact all subscribers.
BTW please don't believe much of what has been said in this thread as most of it is assumption.

As Dannyboy007 i also didnt subscribe to the mag either, and paid when the mag was released as i thought it would be better to see how well the scoobymag was going to be, and whether it would last or not........as clearly the venture was going to be a big undertaking.
Which after issue 7 became a reality.......
Just wish i hadn,t cancelled Jap performance

You live and learn, will not subscribe to new mags in future until they have established themselves. Problem with this one tho was that it wasn't easy to find it in the shops.

Re-release it under a new name - i dont know say 'Totally Subaru' or whatever as to stop that miserable sour faced biatch Hanna Barbara sticking her beak in.
Get all the Scooby websites to i.e. Scoobynet, Sidc, Scoobycity, 22b.com etc. to offer free advertising with a banner for its relaunch, and in return maybe the mag could offer free mag space or a thank you in its editorial column. No skin off the webmasters noses
Maybe make it a bi-monthly - if it cannot fill the mag every month or cannot release it monthly due to time restraints - this will stop people - and adverstisers getting p***ed off if the mag is late.
Maybe have a private for sale section at the back where people can sell parts and there Scoobs - for a nominal fee of course.
Its a damn shame it failed - it very nearly made it, would be great if we could get people involved to get it back on its feet. i'm sure there are talented people out there and on here who could help.
Just my 2p's worth
