Just a thought, is there any differences on insurance for euro imports?

Old shape though or would be ideal
Tiley in Bristol have a new MY 06 for £19999, Silver 1000K. It's on Autotrader and the Sunbaru Main Website.

I think others with Euro imports on here have said they have tried getting PPP and they were told by cyprus/malta they won't be covered. I'm not sure of the reasons why though.

Ordered mine form Holdcrofts yesterday (great service and really friendly). Just couldn't be arsed with all this warranty cr*p and being treated like a second class citizen by the dealers, plus i want the PPP as soon as it comes out and there is no way i'd drive back to Belgium/Cyrus etc to get it fitted. The difference came down to £50 a month (for £36 months), and for that it just wasn't worth it for me. I can chop mine in to the dealer in 3 years and get a new one without explain it's a euro import etc etc...

Tony.

The differences between a Subaru uk dealer car and a supermarkets car is minor APART FROM THE £7000 saving you make.

I deal in the motor industry so lets clear up some things.

It is technically illegal for Subaru uk (international motors) to refuse to discriminate between any car regardless if it was Subaru uk car or a car from Malta. Subaru will to everything in their legal powers (normal business in the uk....)to prevent you from buying a cheaper new car from supermarkets if they [Subaru uk] are like many business want to sell a product for the highest price acceptable for a product.

Cyprus and Malta entered the EU on January the first 2004 so there is absolutely no reason (legally) why Subaru uk should refuse to do the PPP upgrade/warranty work. If they say any different then then ask them to put it in writing and frame it!! I am sure the European commission would be happy to have a look at it! VW got fined 102 million euros a few years ago (not the same offence but on the same anti trust laws) for breaches of the EU legislation so Subaru uk should seriously reconsider the lies they say to customers

It is not called the EU for the fun of it, if Subaru uk dint like it then STOP ripping of UK buyers up to £7000 (this is a wrx not a 6 litre BMW stretch limo!)

why spend £1500+ on the ppp anyway for some mechanic to top some buttons on a laptop and fart around with the catalyst? It is basically a warranty non-void option on wheels.

The choice is yours £14999(+240 tax...) at a supermarket or £21,500(metalic paint) at Subaru's $t£alers. Only a loyal Subaru dealer buyer(farmers then) or fools will go with the later
