I would highly reccomend any one who is into high performance cars to go and get an evo as there are top notch cars.
I have had the evo for a week now and the longer i have it the more i love it.

Very very nice looked at one a few months ago in the local Mitsi dealer and was promised a "good" deal as I know the salesman but couldn't justify it, I hardly use the scoob and couldn't stand having to service the EVO every six months having only done a thousand miles if I was lucky. THe one I looked at was silver and it looked ace with the black wing, just needed the 400 lip spoiler.
Also felt the seats were better too.

Having had 5 Scoobs, classic and newage and then I got an Evo Vll I can only compound Jims findings, they are superb
MR is the one to buy, Bilsteins, wilder cams and a bigger hotside on the TD05 turbo.
And check this out.....
On a non MR
Exhaust
Induction kit
ECUTEK
= 370 HP thankyou very much
On an MR
Exhaust
Induction kit
ECUTEK
=420 ish thank you very much
Now that Cheap tuning, how much do you have to spend on a Subaru to get these power levels? Oh and the Evo will be reliable at this level unlike the Scoob !

Lovely car - read about the evo 9 fq 340 in Evo mag last week. They were doing a review of the new Audi RS4 and part of that involved some laps of bedford autodrome against a carerra 4 and the evo. it was fairly close but the evo had it, they said it (evo) was one of the few cars they had tested that had marked its progress (at the expense of the tyres) round the entire track!! it had the same 4wd systems as yours. awesome cars, would have one if i could afford it - but would probably miss the flat four burble

Get the modding bug now!!!,de-cat,ralliart ECU,boost controller all for around a grand.....on a MR that should give you a very very reliable 380-400 hp,dont bother with the induction, stick with what you got...all VIIIs tend to like the one they come with....in tests the standard induction gave the coolest air...or maybe push the boat out and go for a APS 3" exhaust and down pipe...no re-maps needed for any of the above...at least get a de-cat for £50 its got to be the cheapest mod going for 15-20 hp.

cheers nellie
I think the only mod that i am going to do is decat the exhaust, you can get it done quiet cheaply and it will give you an extra 10-15 bhp.
