i have travelled to England to pick up 2 cars, a £12000 330 coupe and a £4000 Mondeo.
Both times took cash, went with seller to deposit in bank.
Never recieved any lucks penny, and was under the impression that they were doing me a favour by selling me the car than the other way about.
If i could buy a car without travelling so far i would, but felt i was getting a bargain on both occasions, although a 300 mile trip home is a good way of finding any problems on the car.
Would not hesitate to fly over, but you just have to be careful who you are dealing with, as some of my previous posts would show
