beaten by a nissan 200sx

That's the 2.0 version of the 200sx. My old 1.8 which is in the book at 169bhp is currently producing 297 New owner has spent a couple of grand on it though.
If you want to see a quick 200sx, ave a look before it's completely broken

My previous Car was 200sx S14a (47k miles) all in black 2000 model.
Got it from standard then got a mod garage to 'improve it'. Bog standard they are 192bhp listed by Nissan (1,992cc). 0-60 6.3seconds.
My mods I had done....
FMIC fitted with all new piping(standard 200sx is a much smaller wing mounted IC)
High pressure Walboro Fuel Pump
Variable Actuator fitted to turbo - Std Boost pressure for an s14a in 1st and 2nd gears is locked at 7psi, 3rd 4th and 5th is locked at 10psi. I upped mine to 15psi in all gears, you can imagine what 1st and 2nd were like
I also had a new bigger induction kit fitted, fully decatted exhaust (MOT very unfriendly), braided brake hosing done.
Paddle clutch fitted.
Never had it accuratly measured but I would guess i would be generating about 290bhp so for the mods (excluding the wheels) i spent about 3k upping the power of the beast by 50% To say it shifted would be an understatement, a 3rd gear that does 40mph to 105mph lol wicked...comfortably great car....why did I get a Scooby then ? those little things called bends on our roads and the other 'little' thing called rain and rear wheel drive
Respect to the 200sx and PS unless you are a 350bhp scoob, or its a country lane race or its raining, proceed with caution before racing one

Scoobys are not that fast shocker :O 200sx's are good cars too, and can be tuned to give some good BHP and drivable cars. Totally different kettle of fish. I could only keep up and catch a 320 e-class the other day in a straight line..... and thats an 210 odd bhp. 4wd and heavy car = not that fast in straight line....

Personally I couldn't give a flying f*ck if some bloke beat you in a race. Have you tried to socializing a bit more, or perhaps talking to girls?
By the way, I was walking into town the other day and some bloke took me on the outside, he had Nike trainers on and I was in my Reeboks, his Nike's were lighter than mine, but when we turned down the side of Woolworths I closed right up on him, coz I've got better grip! Then he started to pull away again, I couldn't believe it, who does he think he is, my Reeboks are the best man, I didn't think Nikes could go that quick. I'm gutted, has anyone else got Nikes out there? I'm scared to go up town now in case it happens again.

Always one isn't there
I never thought 200sx's were that quick........I must look out for one
Saying that I did have myself a Nissan Cherry Turbo a few years back for a bit of fun and I managed to get that up to 205bhp (not bad for a little 1.5)......took all the turbo badges off it too and replaced them with 1.3 GLS......had some right run in that

S14 is a 200SX Mark III, never officially imported into the UK. By far the best looking 200sx and very very quick and yes I think around 1250kG (so light by today's obsese car standards).
The Nissan 200SX Mark 1 (1.8 L Turbo) is a girl's car (wife had one when we met).
As you say power to weight, but above a certain speed bhp wins.
I was very suprised my WRX can match an M3 off the lights till about 50 when the M3 overrcomes it FAT weight (1550Kg) and the BHP kicks in all 343 horses. We both pulled into a garage near Bracknell and he explained his surprise and we praised each other's cars in a nice way. 20k v £43k ; value for money was agreed upon (would still like an M3 but for the £350,000 morgage I have)

UK S13 = pop up headlights and 169 bhp CA18DET
UK S14 = fixed lights, bigger car 197bhp SR20DET

GTIRs have SR20DET engines.
And to be honest unless you take the Gran Turismo route and spend a fortune on a car that you know is going to beat everybody in Sunday Cup races, your always going to find someone who will beat you in a race.
Also, on the road 90% of the time its who bottles first rather than which car is better. Many a time I've backed off because the car in front does something that just says "I'm an accident waiting to happen"

I had a really good run with a 300bhp one on a track day. He was glued to my back bumper and I really was trying to shake him. Ended up trying a bit too hard and clipped a big marker cone on the apex of the chicane at knockhill. I sent it flying in his direction and my car required a bit of t-cut but all was fine and had a good chat and a laugh with the owner after.
