Lesson to be learnt.

If you really have to race make sure the straights are short & the bends bendy

I would still prefer the spine shattering hard ride of an sti than the wallowing sx fish tailer

I am happy to settle for 280 horses on my sti uk than 350+ in another car

strange but true

sold my absolutely mint s14a a few weeks back for my 02 sti which would absolutely destroy the nissan except perhaps up towards the speed limit on a straight road -200sx's dont like corners though, especially in the wet. Mine was running slightly higher boost with blitz induction and a few other tweaks.

Hum, mine was not bad at all until the rear subframe bushes started to split.

Another weakness of this car, and Nissan don't sell bushes, only complete rear subframes !!!!.

So how people on here see the 2wd vs 4wd surely shouldn't a 2wd sapphire eat a 4wd ?
I seem to remember the 4wd was more powerful to compensate for this........

might be my old car, that looked standard but was pretty well sorted. They are very easy to tune to 290BHP on standard injectors etc, any more and it starts to get a bit more expensive, but still cheap by subaru standards.

Handling is easy to sort, as standard it's not too stable, the rear subframe is a crap design on floating bushes, once thats locked down it improves significantly and can become a good car.

Value for money they are hard to beat, and if you can drive are great fun.

Wiv? WIV!!

FFS, man, write properly! Aren't you ashamed that after a minimum of twelve years of education you can't manage the basics that my seven year old has mastered?

I wouldn't dare post, the fear of ridicule would be unbearable.

Clearly you have not driven a Classic with over 300/300. They weigh a damn sight less than a new age. One might just give you a wee surprize some day!

JESUS...
i barely struggled to keep with him. got to a roundabout we were both going straight so i gained on him going round the roundabout. but wen we powered out of the roundabout he was off again and was actually creeping away from me. it was only wen we got upwards of 130 that i finally nailed him. but that might be because he backed off.
it looked completely standard [could have engine tuned to f*ck)although it was a clean one.
maybe wrong but i thought they werent that quick or not as quick as an sti anyway..
their was a thread on here about the ultimate "sleeper" car...
well that was certanley a contender...

Classics are the future. I mangled a alleged 290 bhp mr2 turbo the other day

What is this, 'bring back stupid threads night'?

What with this and the silly Clio thread, what's going on?

And whilst I'm at it, what is all this "I had a play with" rubbish, what you should really say is I'm a ******* idiot and put myself and other people lives in danger because I need to prove something to the world by racing another ******* idiot.
