A few Indie ones:
Cocteau Twins (still my fave), Jesus & Mary Chain, New Model Army, Sisters of Mercy, Shop Assistants.
Oh and also Einsturzende Neubauten (sounds very pretentious and was really a heap of $hite noise), Zodiac Mindwarp and the wonderful Sigue Sigue Sputink.

Never before have I seen such a list of crap bands

You guys still wearing frilly collars and cuffs and back-combing your hair ?

Saw them back about 85/6. Must be one of the best concerts I've ever been too. Did'nt know they were still going. Is it the original lineup as I'd be up for seeing them again??

Half the bands mentioned were no away New Romantic. Does serve to remind what a dire era it was though.

What a relief when the black Guys finally started getting hold of electronic instruments and began creating truely exciting new music.

I dont understand why people want to live in the past. I loved the Human League; but I dont want to go and see them twice a year 25 years later ffs!

Why not,

it sure as hell is better than going to see someone like slipknot or mcfly

i never saw the HL until 2 years a go, likewise blondie, both were superb concerts, btw

its each there own, the 80,s was a definitive part of my growing up, so i like the music that goes with it

Very well said. There very few modern acts I like. 1 of my hobbies (crossing fingers as a future business venture) is gig photography. The bands I really want to photograph are the ones I grew up listening to eg: Bon Jovi etc.

Meh, I love Living on a Prayer. Sorry, but everyone has different tastes. Now I never saw the greatness of The Who or Pink Floyd.

One of my favourite bands, but it really depended when you saw them.
