Never!

When would you hear any self respecting northener saying "dinnae" instead of "din't", or "disnae" instead of "dun't"?

And don't even get me started on "wee drams" or ther wearing of skirts.......sorry, kilts

I know that North Staffordshire isn't exactly northern, but it definitely isn't southern either. "Dinna" for didn't is in common usage around Biddulph.

As for "wee dram" - that's only said by English people trying to sound Scottish.

If the Americans think they are saying a foreign word-to their version of English that is, they always use the long "A".
