It's ****. What are you all getting so excited about? It's indistinct and you can hardly tell what you're looking at, unless you happen to know where your house is and I can only look at my roof for so long.

Well, it must be a ****ing big pond because I can't see any of the sheds in my garden and can barely make out the roof, as it's so grainy.
It's crap. If it was live feed, it would be mildly entertaining but I couldn't look at it for long.

Hey T6UNE, another Bournemouth resident... It is pretty good round here isn't it! Tried to find my Dads place up Lincoln way and it is useless up there. Mind you, who wants to see Lincoln anyway...
I know the quality is grainy but jeez guys, these pictures are taken from a fair old way up lol@flatcap
You can make out the bonnet vent on my old scoob parked on the drive and see the old bin that's been lying in the back garden for yonks...

It really is a fantastic pice of software.
We put it at about 2/2.5 years old the pics. However you can zoom to roof level with ease where I live (Sheffield/rotherham)
And if we can see that, Imagine what the military can see....

It doesn't even show the house which pre-dates these satellites by 200 years.

I can see roads and extensive terrain mapping of a wonderfully mountainous area, that on it's own should be enough to impress you. Locally, I can see a good sized lake within 7 miles - as the crow flys - of your house. Only 2 miles away the resolution is very high. I'd suggest using it to explore the local area, it's not 'Google My House'

I have a failure on one of our pcs. Never completes connection to server. Running XP. Think its because pc only supports 16 colours, Google Earth minimum spec. says 32 ? (Bit hazy cos not near that pc at the mo).
