I would suggest 2 months is a little soon for you to be noticing the yellow come through already. However it is your word against theirs that you weren't told that it will need recoating so I don't fancy your chances. I am sure you will get a free recover but as for anything else . . . .
I only ever have it re-brushed as it goes shiny after a while.

well ill just sit in the shop then and demand a refund pmsl wifey sugested we keep the rings and buy new ones!! i put a hult to that ideal lol
maybe just maybe if they only recoat them ill keep them in box then buy new ones but id rather just get some gold ones

dont tyhink it works like that m8, when first put on finger they were a dazling white colour looked great now there just a dull light goldy colour and end of the day there only gonna get worse

The white gold is still made from 75% yellow gold underneath and when the rhodium wears away the metal underneath will appear as though it has a yellowish tinge. I guess though the base metals in different rings will be different depending an what the alloy is.

If it is 9k white gold then it will not be as bad as the gold alloy is fairly white ( well grey ) before the Rhodium plating is applied and as such any wear isn't as noticeable , on 18ct gold the alloy is still quite yellow and this will start showing through fairly quickly , yearly replating is nothing unusual and costs about £7
