Interesting thread, from the perspective of an "other side of the pond" type person. (American)
Throwing anything out of a moving vehicle, over here, can get you a $100 fine.
Throwing "burning material" (Read, burning cigarette) gets you a $500 fine.
But then we don't try to burn scoobs with lit ****.

Drinking in moderation is good for you.
At least when I drink I dont throw half my beer all over the people around me, unlike you filthy smokers forcing us non-smokers to breathe in your scum.
Also us drinkers dont drink at the wheel and certanly do not throw our empty cans of stella out of the window.

I would think that motorcyclists would be immediately affected by this more than anyone. Fair enough I guess you should have your visor down, but in certain conditions i.e if it were to mist up, having an open visor in traffic could be a real liability

What really gets me wound up is when i see plastic & glass bottles of p!sh lying on the central reservation of motorways. That is absolutely bogging. Some poor wee teenage 'trainee' will have to go pick that up someday. Pull over and have a slash in an adjacent filed or something, don't pee into a bottle and lob it out the window!!!!
