Should that not need to have something in the box marked Model?
Or does it not matter?
I don't know much about cars, just wondering. By the way thats from RAC vehicle check thingy.

I had a later import and my V5 does not record a model - it is listed as a Subaru Rigid 2 axle vehicle - as far as the DVLA are concerned it could have been a tractor.

Indeed I had correspondance with the DOT about emissions and they were insistent that I had to provide model details from the V5 until I sent them a copy and then they shut up.

I have also emailed the seller with little response so far

Yeah, I was just wondering if it is necassary to have the model or whatever in the relevant boxes.
I sent the seller a question and also sent the highest bidder so far a message, got nothing back from either, if I do I will post it up.

currently on flea bay at least 3 or 4 gonks advertising there wrx's as sti's exactly the reason not to buy a motor off ebay
Yeah, there is also a 96 facelift white Impreza turbo on there and that's advertised as an STI. Just got a dodgy white STI logo sprayed on the intercooler

Got a reply

Hi mate thanks for the concern it is appreciated. I know this car is not an STI from the subtle non clear indicator lenses to the glaring obvious none embroided interior, red top & wrong size intercooler. However it is a nice car and I would hope worth 3 and a bit grand.
I am alway Worried about items that are billed as something they are not therefore if the V5 doesn't say V5 then it is falsely advertised and therefor e fraudulent However if this person wants to continue to maskarade as a genuine article then lets see how he suffers the consequence.

PS would be interested in which forum you use. is it SIDC?
Many thanks,
MArtyn

Sent a message back aswell

Sorry to go slightly of topic but what`s the water spray button for?

Please forgive me as I`ve never owned a scooby (looking long and hard now though) and still learning.

Many thanks

Cheeky git, here's my reply from the seller

Silver intercooler, gear **** are optional and the interior is an STI interior.. i am not saying that you are wrong but you surely have not seen more STI's than us.. thanks

He's not saying I'm wrong , but he's not saying I'm right either, but in that case he is saying he knows it isn't a STi, if you get that lol. But then the cheeky git says I have surely not seen more STi's than them LOL I know I haven't seen as many STi's probably but then again he can't have seen that many if he thinks he is selling a WRX STi and not just a WRX

looking at the pics, no chance of being an sti. but i would say it is a wrx ra import. ( black dash/ larger intercooler to the rear. plus if i remember the early stis had abs. , could be wrong. but thats what i see

defo not a wrx ra as they wernt produced in black and its just a wrx **** eyed intercooler rtc, all jap wrx, sti etc had black dashes apart from early wagons which had grey dashes like early uk turbos.

Thanks, I should have realised but jumped in at the deep end again.

Back to topic, it does look nice but I can tell the difference between an STI and a WRX, and I don`t own one yet.

I feel sorry for the person who buys it.

If I wasn;t lazy I'd go view it for you.

But I wouldn't be able to tell the difference so I'd be no good.

Edit,

Just looked at the pictuire and he's within 2 minutes away from me
